Well, Strickland was waived after the game which was why he didn't play tonight.

I wish him well. Just don't go to the Lakers. =)

Well you only released him so he could sign for a contender so he should be going to

Kings, Lakers, Dallas, Wolves, Spurs or one of the top east teams.

I think he'll end up with the Wolves as he played well for them last season and the Wolves need a solid third point guard.

Non of the west teams really need his services. but if Rod Thorn is smart, Rod Strickland will be wearing a Nets uniform for the rest of the season. The Nets have no backup point guard what so ever.

Why did they waive him even though he is older he brings great energy off the bench, I wish Philly could get a backup pg like him

We are going to work DeShawn Stevenson at the PG position and we are building for next season. I think he mentioned that before the trading deadline but did not get traded whatsoever.

If I was a GM in one of those elite teams in the league I'll sign him right away I think he will end up in 1)Nets 2)Dallas 3)Spurs 4)Pistons 5)Kings 6)Pacers7)Lakers 8)Wolves (in order)

The Wolves don't need Rod's services , they adquired a 3rd PG just a few months ago which also played with them a few years ago I don't remember his name right now.

We wish you the best and Thank you for all your effort and wins with the Magic [IMG] keep it up Rod , Hope we see you in the playoffs.

Are you talking about Darrick Martin? The Wolves didn't resign him after the 2nd 10 day contract expired but i agree that they do not need another pg.
The Nets need a PG the most right now.

Sorry , I didn't hear the news about that. If the Wolves cut him is another reason of why they don't need another PG , I mean come on be realistic you have Sam Cassel and Troy Hudson?

I wouldn't be surprised if the Nets sign Rod however , I think Dallas could use Rod very well specially them who count with so many good shooters.

Strickland will be missed. Does this mean Gaines might actually stand on the floor with Tmac at the same time? I sure hope so. Start Deshawn and Bogans.

Start DeShawn and Bogans? Where's the guy that had 14 points and 11 assists last night?

Just playing , in the bench. Hey one thing I love is Bogans , DeShawn and T-Mac on the floor at the same time. They play BEAUTIFUL defense I just get inspired before it was Bogans sometimes and T-Mac sometimes but now Bogans , DeShawn and T-Mac are playing great defense followed by Hunter blocking shots and Drew or Howard covering Hunter's man and diving for loose balls.

so you think we should have this?
    C- Hunter/Sean Rooks/ZaZa
    PF - Howard/Gooden/Sean Rooks
    SF - Bogans/?/Stevenson
    SG - T-Mac/?
    PG - Stevenson/Lue/Gaines

    ?Penigar?

I think we should play DeShawn at the PG position but not as a starter we need him starting at SF or coming on for Bogans and/or T-Mac. Just like last game there will be a strech when Bogans , T-Mac and him will be on the floor at the same time.

Hey could this mean Penigar stays? AND stays off the injured list..

    And Gaines too?

Wow.. Good luck rod.. He deserves to get a shot at a playoff run with a team.. And I think this could be a great move for us, like I said.. We may be able to keep penigar, and gaines off the IL..

We can start Bogans at PG.. Thats what he played in college..

Strickland waived............. good decision, hes an awesome veteran and all but the young guys need time to develop and most of their young guys are gaurds. Strickland will most likely go to the nets, who ever there back up is right now go t crossed up bad by my man Jannero Pargo it was crazy.

The Clippers need him more than any team in the League, but then again, he only wants to sign with a championship contender.

Yeah, when I was talking about west teams I was talking about the west's contenders. The Wolves, Spurs, Kings, Lakers dont need him unless they plan on carrying three point guards in the playoffs just incase one of their main points go down. All of the west contenders go 2 deep with solid point guards, no need for a guy like Rod Strick.

I'm hoping this would mean Gaines would be Lue's backup. Instead we will probably put Bogans and Stevenson as the backups and still let Gaines sit on the far end of the bench.
