And he didn't act like a guy who had been fined by his coach for the second time in two weeks for breaking a team rule. All-star guard Allen Iverson participated in a 76ers practice yesterday for the first time since suffering a bruised right shoulder in a game against Seattle on Feb. 20, but not before meeting with interim coach Chris Ford. The subject of the meeting was his failure to talk to Ford personally Sunday after deciding not to show up for the Sixers' home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. </div> Full Story.
Iverson and Ford Make-up <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">PHILADELPHIA -- After fining Allen Iverson for the second time in his short tenure as interim coach of the Philadelphia 76ers, Chris Ford said Monday the matter is closed and both parties are ready to move on. </div> Link They are moving on.But it's clear that when you have a problem you have to talk to Ford.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">For his part, Iverson looked fine yesterday during shooting drills</div> Thats all that matters right now....Its a good thing, that they have no game tonight, I dont think he would be ready.
I think that Coach Ford is just trying to get some money before the Sixers fir him at the end of the season!O well as long as he doesn't bench AI I dont really think this is a big problem.
Today in an interview after practice, they asked Eric Snow if everyone on the team wants to play for Ford. Eric went around the question asking, "Who are you talking about? Allen or everyone?" And he kept shying away and finally said, "Next question" without answering. Very unlike Snow. Interesting...
Ravenous i have to agree with you on that reamrk. Because the team is not really a bad team they just need some big men. they have plenty of gaurds and a promising rookie in Korver. I wouldn't be surprised to see Iverson go to the Clippers for Elton brand and Wilcox another great PF. Well I would be surprised but happy that allen is out of Philly and that he can probally start over. He seems so happy while he participates in the All-star games playing the point gaurd position. With legitimate athletic help to pump him up to the level of a superstar as we know him.
The past few weeks, Iverson has put all the Philly fans in hell. And now, alot of the fans don't even want him here which is sad but yet true.
Not showing up at games, calling in "sick" and then it's been rumored that he was out on the town that night. *Rolls eyes* His attitude towards Ford. He's just let us all down.
