<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">He's said it before. The fact he feels the need to say it again with three-quarters of the season gone says a lot about the lack of fire Michael Curry sees when he looks out on the floor.

Curry was several steps short of happy about the late-game Boston run yesterday that propelled the Celtics to their second win over Toronto in three days, 91-82.

"I don't think it's what they did, it's what we did," Curry said in another deathly quiet Raptors dressing room, referring to crucial turnovers down the stretch. "We have to understand the value that each possession has.

"We should have a sense of urgency," complained the veteran, brought here at the urging of coach Kevin O'Neill to help juice up the team's intensity. "Sometimes urgency is an afterthought in this league. Maybe some guys never get it."

Curry, in what sounded like a thinly disguised shot at those who take too long to recuperate from injuries, and, yes, that's Vince Carter sitting on the end of the bench with a "moderate" ankle sprain, told reporters that earlier this year he came back from elbow surgery after two weeks. It was actually 19 days according to Raptor stats, but the point remains the same.

"I came back because I feel a sense of urgency," Curry said. "I just don't see that" from everyone on the team. "A lot of it is the makeup of guys, to be honest with you," he continued.

"You can get guys with a sense of urgency and a toughness that aren't as skilled" and likely have a better club.

"That's what they said about us in Detroit," he said of his Pistons' teams. "You need to have guys who lay it on the line every night."

But Curry said the Raptors have chosen the players to wear the uniform and now they have to live with those decisions.</div>

If I were a Raptor I would listen to him. This man knows what he's talking about.

This veteran knows what hes talking about. One of the best defenders around. More of a role model then anything. Props To You Man, hopefully we listen.
