But the games they really need to win are games such as tonight's at Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks, one in a scrum of six teams that are battling for the final three of the eight playoff berths in the Eastern Conference.

Only 11/2 games separate the Knicks, who had a precarious hold on the No. 6 seeding going into last night, and the Sixers, who are in 11th place in the East with a 24-36 record. The Cleveland Cavaliers also are 24-36 but hold the tiebreaker edge, thanks to a 3-0 record in their season series against the Sixers.

The Sixers haven't done a good job of handling the teams in the middle tier of the East. They have a 5-9 record against the five teams fighting with them - New York, Toronto, Boston, Miami and Cleveland.</div>

I think after Minnesota's win on Sunday, that gives them a big confidence boost, especially playing without AI and Robinson. Of course they lost today vs the Knicks, but I think their going to make a run at it. Anything is possible with Iverson. I expect them to hit a big winning streak in April, to give them that push for it. They will be in competition though, teams like Boston, and Cleveland.

The 76ers should play Willie Green, Sam Dalembert and John Salmons more. These guys are really good at their own thing, Sam can block shots and rebound, Green can score and Salmons is pretty good all around IMO. These guys are up and coming stars, they will stay in the play off race if these guys see more minutes.

    I saw that coming. [IMG]

To be honest Im about 50/50 right now on whether they will make the playoff's. Last night game was a KEY game. In the end that game could have probably cost them a playoff spot. After that performance last night AI better hope he has a 40-50 Point performance tonight. Go 2-21 is unacceptable, for a player at his calibar. And to think I almost bough tickets to that game. I doubt we'll win tonight, but for know, we better hope the Raptors, Knicks, Boston, Cleveland and Miami start losing their games.

Its also good to see we have some non Philly fans, supporting the 76ers. :P

I don't understand how they can play so good without Big Dog & AI and beat the T-Wolves then WITH AI & Big Dog, lose to NYK.

Well if Iverson is going to shoot 2/21 with 11 points, the Sixers have no chance to win.

That's not what I meant. It happens all the time. They beat the really good teams and lose to the mediocor (sp?)/bad ones. I don't understand it at all.
