With the early draft pick you guys will probably end up with, how do you think the draft/free agency should be approached. Do you use the early pick on a passer or a runner? Personally, I think it's hard to pass on a franchise QB, when this will be the earliest pick I can remember for the fins, but free agency will probably hold more opportunities to get a QB than a "blue-chip" RB.. I'm thinking sign Tim Couch and draft the best RB available. I know everyone doesn't hold Couch in the same high regard that I do, but I still believe that he can be a good QB in this league. He was a #1 pick and imo he is better than any QBs currently on the Dolphins roster. They could sign him now with no one bidding against them. Just wondered what you DWOers thought?
If the Dolphins have the #1 pick and a franchise passer is available, you have to take him....if no franchise passer is there, you trade out and stockpile talent....the best thing for the team is likely to trade down a few spots, pick up an extra 1st for the future + lower round picks in the same draft and seek a franchise LT....if they were to bookend Eric Winston from the U with Vernon Carey from the U, they are likely set at tackle for the next 10 years, and thats the begining of a good football team....I wouldnt mind seeing them ship JT and Zach to a team that can contend before they get too old to be useful, those guys deserve better than they are getting right now....I know JT would fetch a #1 in return, hes a game changing pass rusher, one of only a handful in the league....
Its looking like Miami will have one of the top 3 picks in next april's draft. I say trade down regardless & stock pile picks.
The only QB coming out I'd take #1 is Kyle Orton of Purdue. Leinart (USC) & Rodgers (Cal) might be doable in the top 10. David Greene of Georgia could be had in the 18-24 range.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BearsFan1)</div><div class='quotemain'>I think you are giving orton, greene and rodgers way to much credit, none of them are 1st rd qbs</div> Maybe. Maybe not. But, I have an idea how Mel Kiper Jr & the other draft experts think.

Were the reasons beef was wearing a bag to go, the franchise would improve instantly!!
