<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MSNBC:</div><div class="quote_post"> ...think it behooves the Philadelphia 76ers to kiss this wimp goodbye after the season and get something for him in a trade before everybody else catches on to what a fraud he is. Recently, Iverson has run afoul of his new coach, Chris Ford, who replaced Randy Ayers, who was fired on Feb. 11 after taking over for Larry Brown, who escaped to Detroit. Iverson missed his fourth straight game Sunday night in Philadelphia with a bruised right shoulder, but also notified team doctors that he was experiencing stomach problems and would not attend the game. But he never told Ford, which he was previously instructed to do if he ever had to miss a team function..... </div> Full Article I have ot agree that trading IVersonw ould be a goodmove for Philly, except for the fact that they might lose their main attraction and fan drawer. I think the Reporter's reasons etc,. etc,. were too harsh, and not justified in trading AI
I don't like the idea of trading Iverson. He is the leader of the team and has the most heart.Plus like you said they would lose their main attraction. But Michael Ventre was a bit harsh saying he was a wimp and that he was a weakling dressed up as a brute. I think the problem with AI is that he doesn't like Chris Ford.Him and Chris just don't get along.Iverson misses Larry Brown.I think the whole team misses him.
After his horrid shooting night last year, I am thinking you have to trade him in the off season, he kept shooting, he is a good passer and didnt look to pass last night.
What are you talking about man? He shoots the same % every year. His MVP year he shot bad also...check some stats. One night will not bring a trade and he shot horribly last night. He had a bad game...very bad. I don't think trading Iverson is a great idea, he leads this team and Philly will lose a lot of money. People can say AI shoots horribly and this other stuff, but he brings 2-3 steals a game along with 27+ points and 6-7 ast. He is a known leader and anything can happen when he plays. He is a known warrior, keep it simple and build a team AROUND him. Philly has tried but they have brought enough.
It's not fair to trade Iverson after this year. This team never had a chance to get healthy and play with a gel'd roster.

well as for Iverson horrible shooting night I think he redeemed himself last night. I think the best thing for The sixers is to get rid of Glenn robinson while they can. I mean hes a great player but old they are already stuck with coleman they need some youth especially in the post like Dalembert. I would love to see Mckie and Glenn involved in a trade with the Clippers for a promising player in Chris Wilcox and either a youndg small forward, maybe even a center or Jaric there point gaurd i think thats his name. Ai lead his team to a great fight last night he dropped a dollar on the court thats ten dimes and also had thirty two points good job.
The whole Iverson-Ford thing is really getting on my nerves. And to think it hasn't even been a month.
I think maybe it is time for Iverson to move on. After that 114-105 loss to the Sacramento Kings last night, Iverson went to the podium at the news conference and wore a throwback Kings jersey. Now, you may argue with me and say he's just trying to be his typical self for fashion, but what player would walk around with an opponent's uniform?
I don't think trading Iverson is the best thing to do in Philly. The players around him are just not good enough. The Sixers are just losing badly with a bad team altogether. Its not Iversons fault and to put all of the losing on his shoulders saying that Iverson has to go is total BS. He is the Philedelphia 76ers.

He always wears different jerseys at every press conference. This isn't anything new.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting kvh4fan:</div><div class="quote_post">A retro (old player?) or current player? He always wears different jerseys at every press conference. That is so disrespectful not only to the Sixer organization, but to Sixer fans just like you. Plus, on my sports talk radio show that I listen to every day, this Sixer fan was outraged. I feel it's time for this organization to move on and trade Iverson. Because little things like that show you don't want to be part of the 76ers anymore.
I think maybe some people are making a big issue out of nothing. What if they won the game against Sacremento? Would it still be thi scrutinized? I think 76er fans have more things to worry about other than a players wardrobe selection. Seeing how they are losing now, I can see how this will unfold. "Iverson wears opponents jersey...Read all about it" Sounds pretty tabloid to me
I've also noticed, and I'm not sure if anyone else has, that Iverson has missed more games this year than almost all the others. And I mean, in the past, he'd miss it for serious stuff. And I'm not saying that the injuries he has now are serious but since when does the Allen we all know miss a shoot around due to a stomach ache? And now he has a hamstring injury as of last night? Anyone find this a little... odd? All the sudden he is sitting out for every little thing. Anyone remember the season of glory? Iverson was told he'd miss 1-3 weeks for some injury (can't remember what it was). He came back 2 days later.

Its not like he's wearing a Bibby or Webber jersey. Thats like saying if he wears a Michael Jordan jersey in a Bulls game Press Conference he's trying to play the 76ers. No he's just basically honoring a player. JO constantly wears basketball throwback's, that dosent mean he wants to leave the team. BTW I dont if its me or something, but you can just tap Iverson in any given place and he'll get injured!!! Its REALLY getting on my nerves. He redemed himself last night with a GREAT all around game. Buts he just tried to foul Bibby and he got INJURED. This is BS. Oh yeah, I also have good news and some bad news.....The bad news is that...We lost Glenn Robinson for the rest of the season...I think.... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Allen Iverson - practice to tolerance, left Achilles tendinitis Glenn Robinson - out indefinitely, right elbow synovitis Kenny Thomas - out, right thumb sprain</div> Link Well the good news isnt really ALL THAT.. Man we need Robinson, he is the only person on are team with a consistant J!You guys must not know AI, this is the part of the season where a lot of people in the L get those naggin injuries. If we make the playoffs I know AI will be ready. But then again if he is out the Sixers will have to make an even tougher run.So I guess you guys have a point.
I don't like the fact that the trade talks will heat up this off-season just because their not playing well this year. Is it Iverson's fault? Nope, add another All-Star calibur player, and their a top team in the East. Iverson will always be Iverson, he's the heart and soul of this Sixer team. He leaves and everything may fall apart in the Sixers organization. It's not time to move on, it's time to win. What the hell is a guy supposed to do being pounded and having injuries year in and year out, and on top of that he's only about 5"11. They would have to be crazy to trade him. What's the point of even watching a Sixer game without him? Just wouldn't seem right, AI should retire his jersey as a Sixer. Also, having a bunch of overpayed players does not help their cause either.
