I would take Jameer Nelson over Dunleavy is an instant. But who would play SF? Pietrus/Cardinal? Hey anyone think Arujo is worth drafting if they get a 15-20 range pick? Because we need a center. The guy's a real bruiser at 6'11, 280 lbs.

To answer your question, I'd play Cardinal at SF. He's shown that he's a good enough player to start in the league, and he sure as hell has deserved. Pietrus would back him up, and in time I think he'd earn the starting role with his defense and athleticism. While Cardinal CAN step in the starting lineup and produce, it's more comfortable to have him come in off the bench.

I have always said we need a big guy. If we could draft a center, sign Kenyon Martin at PF, play whoever at SF, Jrich at SG, and Speedy at PG that is a good team I think. We need to resign Adonal and let Damp go. I have not watched much college ball except what is on national tv. I also watch the Air Foce Academy.

Ugh, I don't think Kenyon has what it takes to be a true franchise superstar.

You may be right, but I think he is better than Murphy in the low post and defensively.

Give Murphy some time! After all, he had a great season last year, averaging a double-double. He was injured all of this season, and now people are writing him off? This guy has a tremendous work ethic and will definitely improve greatly in the future. No point in signing KMart to a huge contract when we have to give the money to our other young rising stars- JRich, Dunleavy, Murph, Pietrus (and eventually, Speedy).

I love Murphy's work ethic and would like to give him more time, but do you honestly think he would be better than K Mart? Do you think he will be a superstar player? Not a chance in hell.

I agree, but how would we have the money to sign KMart and still keep our young nucleus?

We will be able to sign Kenyon, but we may not be able to sign someone like Murphy. That is a risk I would be willing to make. I would sign Richardson to a contract extension next year and see what we could sign Murphy to.

He may not be on the tier of a Jason Kidd, but he is on a tier of Pippen to MJ.

I think this the one rare chance we can get an allstar point guard. I could be wrong, but I think this draft sounds weak for getting sure-fire big men.

You do not think Speedy is doing a good enough job. Personally, I think 1,2 are locked up and all we need now are 3,4,5.

I think the 3 and 4 are also pretty locked up.[IMG]

I want the Warriors to either resign Damp and lock teh 5 up as well, or make a trade for a big man, because it looks like this is a weak draft for big men. This draft, I say take the best player possible, and then make trades based on other teams' needs. There's no way we can lose in this situation.

I thought this draft was weak for big men as well. They have players of nice size but they could turn out to be big busts like Jake Tsakalidas who can't do anything. I'd say just grab the guy who could be most likely to make everyone better. I'd go for a point guard or power forward if either are projected to be all-star caliber. What would you guys want more Emeka Okafor or a Dwight Howard?

I think Dwight Howard has more potential and at least better size and athleticism. But Okafor would be the safe bet. Anyone think that Dwight Howard could be the next Kwame Brown? I hope not.

^ There's always the possibility of a good high school player being the next Kwame.. you just hope that he isn't. I would say take Okafor, because the Warriors need some straight-up defense.

I just don't know if Okafor will have the same impact being a lot smaller than most nba centers. He could be a power forward, but that's not his natural position. Most power forwards are like the size of centers nowadays. Which is what makes Troy Murphy so valuable as a power forward because he is big and can go perimeter. All he needs now is some more strength and some post moves. I guess he could be like Elton Brand. Under-sized, but damn good.
