What about Hakim Warrick? What do you guys think about him? Is he someone like Kenyon Martin?

I don't even think Kenyon Martin is all that. I would like to see what Troy Murphy develops into. If Jrich can improve, I don't see why Murphy can't improve twice as much. He only was like third in votes or something in most improved player last year for averaging a double double. Plus, Murph could be a shotblocker and a post player if he learns that kind of game. There have been players slower than him that manage to time their blocks despite being unathletic. Murph has some pretty good dunks too when he is close enough to throw it down.

Warrick = under-sized and too raw. For the small forward spot he doesn't have the range and for the power forward spot he doesn't have the size. Which is why Cardinal is kind of having to carve a niche for himself because he's not fast enough for the small forward spot and he's too small for the power forward spot. If they made a cross between Dunleavy's size and all around game with Warrick's athleticism, I'd be happy.

The crappier the schools, the harder the thugz I always say. And Oakland's public schools are three turds and a brown snake above crappy. Go prep if you can afford it.

At this rate, the Warriors will have the 5th pick so maybe we will end up with a better player than I thought we would. I thought we would have the 11th pick or something like that again. I could deal with a top 5 pick. We got Jrich at the 5 spot a few years ago...Definately need a center if Damp leaves and even if we do resign Foyle.

I just hope we get a player that has the most value. If the warriors pass on Jameer Nelson I'll be so pissed.

I am not that impressed with Jameer Nelson. He reminds me of Jason Williams from Duke, and we saw how he ended up.

If we get Nelson, who is going to play center?

Telfair's not a shooter yet, but they claim he extremely quick and is a great playmaker. Even though he's young, the scouts claim that he's got great court vision and passing skills. If he's got it early that's amazing, because usually you develop court awareness with experience and playing with certain players over a period of time. But this all could be just hype as there seems to be nothing physically special about him. I'd rather go for 6 foot 7 Shaun Livingston because he could be a dominating point guard since the likes of Magic Johnson. But if he's a good defender with long arms and extremley quick to rob bigger point guards blind, I'd go for Telfair. I've seen Speedy shut down bigger guards with his long arms, quickness and hops so height isn't an issue if the dominate in speed.

He'll be a really great role player. I don't see him taking over a game. But he'll be like a Ben Wallace type player, a true difference maker on the defense end. What we need is good playmaker that can set up other people, so it makes other players score a lot easier. And one thing has been consistent with this franchise is that we have not drafted a pure point guard or any point guard in the first round since Cohan took over as owner.
