<div class="quote_poster">Quoting :</div><div class="quote_post">Stevenson, 22, joined the Orlando Magic earlier this month as a shooting guard/small forward -- where he will start again tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks -- but he slowly is being groomed as a point guard, where he could solve a more pressing long-term need for this franchise.

"It's going to be an on-going process, but he has the tools to make it work," Magic Coach Johnny Davis said. "When we first got him, we thought he was only a 2 [shooting guard], but the more I saw him, the more I wanted to try this."

Stevenson, 6-feet-5, 210 pounds, is considerably bigger and more physical than Magic starting point guard Tyronn Lue, which could help them defensively in the future, especially if they can't land a defensive point guard this summer in free agency.</div>

This is a brilliant move actually.. If it works out and Stevenson can play point guard... It will be the only good decision JD has made.. I think it could work.. We could start Bogans at Small Forward and bring Lue off the bench(Which is what hes supposed to be, he's better off the bench)..

If it works go for it. Stevenson, Tmac, Bogans or Hill, Gooden, Hunter or Zaza sounds like a pretty good Starting Lineup to me.

I still think Stevenson is a 2-guard...he tried unsuccessfully to run the point for years in Utah...but he does not have the natural court awareness, has a poor jump shot too...all he really has is athleticism, but it will take years for him to learn the point guard role...If he couldnt learn it in Utah, I dont really see him surviving as the 1 in Orlando...

I think the best thing a PG could ask for is having a Kobe Bryant , Allen Iverson or T-Mac playing as your shooting guard. That's the difference between him playing PG here and in Utah. Hes jump shot is poor? haven't seen that here , is not what we need from him anyways we have Gooden and T-Mac and hopefully Hill , Bogans and Garrity to take care of that. The Big plus from him is his defense which really helps us.

Yeah, half the time Stevenson won't even bring the ball up the court with Tmac and possibly Grant Hill on the floor. They will take it up a lot of the time, so basically him at PG only means that he'll be guarding the other team's PG's and hopefully he will be the big PG who can play defense that we've been looking for. (Sasser and Gaines haven't worked out)
