This was a nail biter. In typical Heat fashion, we start strong and build a big lead only to squander it at the end. I've been in many arenas, the Heat still has the best players intro with those flamethrowers. Damn, I forgot my camera, I wanted to take a pic of the stupid Jordan retired jersey. Wonder where's Accord seated? First quarter, we had 39 points! Many times we don't get that many in a half. Caron is playing like it's 2003. Skip is our grown up floor general. The Bucks have what seems like a gazillion turnovers -silly stuff too, like Van Horn falling on his ass. Some old guy at half time shoots two half-court shots to win a Hummer, can't even get close to the basket. Then we start losing ground on the second half. 12 points, then 7, then 5. Calls of course are not going to us. Getting sloppy, just missed the shot clock. Rasual Butler is scorching hot tonight. So are Redd and Van Horn. I saw Van Horn hit like five treys in a row during shootaround. Now it's two points, now it's tied. Why they always have to make it interesting? Bucks getting all the calls at the end. Odom keeps going to the basket, keeps missing his shots. Haslem has a band aid over his eyebrow. Bucks miss, grab the rebound! Huge three by Skip! I take back everything I ever said about his shot. Though defense, the Bucks can't get a good shot and this game is ours with 11 seconds left. Now all we have to do is hit our free throws when they foul. We are still in contention baby! Next stop Sacramento on Saturday!
Oh man what an amazing game that was last night, that win was so crucial for us. It snapped out 4 game losing streak and we're now tied with the Celtics for the 8th and final spot. Caron was amazing last night with a season high performance of 21 points. He would have had 23 points, except he blew a wide open dunk and the ball bounced right back out of the rim, it was hilarious. Even Caron and the players were laughing. On one play, Caron was on the wing all by himself on an iso play being guarded by Daniel Santiago. Caron did this little mini-crossover type move and literally broke Santiago's ankles where he just fell right over, it was hilarious. When I was driving home last night I was listening to the post game press conference on 610AM and Stan was talking about how he loves skip and they have similar personalities and he said (jokingly) that you'll see Skip and Stan this summer on the And1 tour . Stan said that our key to winning this game was taking care of the ball and getting the big rebounds. In similar situations like this earlier in the season where the score was close or tied with little time left, we would usually commit some stupid turnover, or allow the team to get an offensive rebound, something like that. Skips stat line last night was just spectacular, 23 points, 8 assists, 5 boards, 4 steals, 1 block, and only ONE turnover. He also went 3-4 from beyond the arc. Skip should be our starting PG, move Dwyane to SG and Eddie to SF with Caron coming off the bench. Did you see that crazy reverse twisting layup that Skip did? Looked like something Jordan would have done. I also know that this was an important game to Skip, since he is a former Buck. I bet after last nights performance they're wishing they didn't get rid of him . If it wasn't for the Bucks free throw shooting, I don't think they would have even been able to have gotten back in the game to tie it up. They went 32-35 from the free throw line, almost double of what we did. In the post game press conference Stan said that we keep committing dumb fouls and teams are always getting to the free throw line almost twice as much as us. Funny thing is that our final score was identical to our score when we played the Bucks and lost. We won this game 104-98, but lost a couple days ago to the Bucks at their house 104-108. Rasual was just huge for us tonight, especially down the stretch. When the Bucks were slowly but surely coming back, had it not been for Rasual's clutch shooting they would have without a doubt assumed the lead. Rasual had a season high 20 points and 4 boards going 3-5 from beyond the arc. Lamar was awesome, he really got the job done during crunch time and it shows in the box score. Mostly due in part to Lamar, we had 42 points in the paint which was almost twice as much as the Bucks' 26 in the paint. Lamar really showed the Vlade Divac side of him tonight coming up with 9 assists and flirting with a triple double. Just get the ball to Lamar down low and let him do his job, on numerous occasions when he got the ball in the paint he was triple teamed and boy oh boy did he take advantage of it dishing the ball out to Rasual. When Toni Kukoc missed that free throw which would have put the Bucks up by 1 point, you could hear the entire arena breathe a sigh of relief. We've got to give some credit to the Bucks though, Michael Redd, despite coming up with 21 points had a very poor night shooting (for him at least). He went 0-4 from beyond the arc and actually airballed a wide open three point attempt. The majority of his points came from the foul line where he went a perfect 11 for 11 and he had to resort to earning the rest of his points the old fashioned way. We have 20 games remaining in the season, and a little over half of them are against bad teams which we have beaten previously in the season, so realistically we should win at least half of those games. Tonight the Raptors and Knicks are facing each other at 7PM, it's going to be the game that every Heat fan should be watching. The Knicks will most likely defeat the Raptors, which will cause a 3-way tie in 8th place and the 7th spot could go to anyone. On the front page of the NBA section on ESPN.com, the Heat were dubbed the "Eighth Wonder Of The East" .
Yeah it was a good game, we played minus 3 starters and turned it over wayyy too much. It hurts losing when a few guys go for career nights on you. As for Santiago, he is THE WORST player in the NBA, I hate him so much, but that move was funny. Another thing, the PA announcer in Miami is awful, he was giving me a headache.

On TV it's just muffled background noise, so you really can't say he's awful until you've heard him in person or a clear clip of him. He's awesome, there is just something about his voice that makes you want to immitate him, when a game is over and everyone is leaving their seats, you'll just randomly hear people say "Lamarrrrrr OOOOOOODOM," it's pretty funny, i'm guilty of it myself too . He's there for the fans in the seats at the arena, and does a great job. When a game is close, every fan in the arena is on the edge of their seats, and Eddie Jones hits a clutch 3 pointer... when Mike Buiuonte (I think that's his name) comes on and goes "EDIIIIIIIIIIIIIIE JONNNNES.... FROM DWYAAAANE WADE", it just compliments the atmosphere very well and I honestly couldn't imagine going to a Heat game without his voice. EDIT: I can't believe I just wrote this much stuff about a PA announcer, lol.

I have never heard of the guy. We were joking that seeing him play makes you appreciate Loren Woods. I'd like to see a one on one between him and Evan Eschmeyer. I don't know if you are judging the PA announcer from the TV or not, but Accord is right, he's great. He gets people pumped up. They have a great in-game entertainment and announcing team, they do a lot of shit with the jumbotrons, the giant medusa ball on top, the lights... it gets pretty dramatic sometimes.
