<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Kobe Bryant hurt his right shoulder again, meaning the los angeles lakers may not have their All-Star cast back together as soon as they believed.

Shaquille O'Neal took over after Bryant went out in the game's first minute, scoring 32 points Friday night in a 99-91 victory over Seattle.

The severity of Bryant's injury wasn't immediately known. Although Bryant left the arena to have an MRI shortly after colliding with Seattle's reggie evans coach Phil Jackson said the results of the tests probably won't be available until Saturday.

"We're not going to worry a lot about him right now. It will probably just be sore tomorrow, then he'll be fine," said Payton, who had 16 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.

The saga continues, they should make The Lakers season this year into a made for TV movie.

Anyhow, I don't know how serious it is, but if The Lakers don't get their act together they could lose homecourt in the first round. Against The Mavericks or The Spurs at home is going to be a tough task, things aren't looking too good down in LA.

Very bad news for Lakers,Kobe has been great after the all-star break but again this kind of injury happend to him,Kobe hasn't missed a lot of games but this season seems like he's gonna miss more games than ever before, missing Payton or Malone isn't that worse but missing Kobe in the playoffs(If he gets injured again) is killing LA,sad for the LA fans but other teams should be happy.

Whoa! There was only one single period in that whole paragraph Martin. Just kidding [IMG]

I honestly believe that Malone is the biggest concern, if you don't have a solid Power Foward than can defend than your dead men walking. With the abundance of allstar Power Fowards in The West (Walker, Dirk, Webber, Duncan, Garnett, etc.) you really have to be able to defend at that postion come playoff time.

Kobe gone is obviously a concern, but I believe Payton and O'Neal can step it up offensively. It would also get guys like Fisher, Rush, and George more minutes to contribute and I'm sure they could make up for Kobe's missing offense.

Try telling all the Laker fans that.

Its not Ray's fault. I dont think that he would such a terrible act. Im a huge Laker fan and adore Kobe's game but nobody should blame Ray. Its not his fault. Injuries this season are a thing at the Lakers.I just dont get it.

Well this has been weird how Lakers have not been fully loaded for most of the season: Shaq-Malone-Kobe-Payton haven't played really as a TEAM in a while.

I don't like to believe these little "sagas" and such so if I were Laker fans I wouldn't worry TOO much. They will obviously be without Kobe in the Play-offs for a game or two (because of his trial).

I never doubt the Lakers so by Play-off time, Lakers will be at full power. Maybe even before, but I don't think the Lakers can do it without Kobe. They need all the pieces to win it this year

This injury is the worst thing that could happen to the Lakers right now. Just as it looked like they were gonna get back to full strength soon, this happens. They really need to hope that this injury isn't very serious. They need him down the stretch so they get the opportunity to solidify at least the 3rd seed and get that home court in the playoffs.

Kobe I hope is allright; only time and results of the MRI will tell. But he is a fighter, so no matter how serious the injury, I say he will return strong and the Lakers will roll.

BTW- Gary Payton left the game last night with a mild strained neck, but he seems to be fine now..
