Don't you see?..Bowen knows what he is doing...He is just winding guys up..Knowing they will retaliate....And it is usually the other guy who looks silly..I dont think bowen is a sissy.If we was a sissy he would not go anywhere near players the way he does..Knowing he might get punched in the face..I still respect bowen..Peace
That Bowen play in the Dallas game was downright dirty and unnecessary...what was the point in that play? Punching Finley in the ribs, blindsided...I always believed Bowen was just an aggressive and intense defensive player who had a passion for shutting his opponents down, but when I saw that play, I am starting to think he is in fact a dirty player...he has no need to pull those antics...

And this is one of those times. Bowen was just dirty on that play. He took it out of the context of professional basketball or any basketball for that matter. He pulled an "above the Rim" move. Iam shocked Mike didnt hit him with a quick one/two. Good restrain shown by Mike in that situation, the Mavs dont need to loose him for like 5 games. But Bowen crossed the line on this one.
More complaints about Bowen? Would of thought players would know not to cry to the media about it. It's more proof he is their head. And for the record is was Finley who took the first shot.

Artest is a better defender than Bowen, but you don't hear people bitching about him playing dirty. So there's gotta be some truth in these repeated accusations, exaggerated or not.

I hear these things about how a sign of a great defender is when his opponents complain to the media cuz he managed to get in his head. That's BULLSHIT. Wallace, Artest, Garnett, Duncan, Kidd, Olajuwon, Jordan, Pippen, Mourning; just off the top of my head, those guys play (or played) excellent defense, more likely than not got into their opponents mentally, and yet they don't openly complain about them. A guy can play solid defense without using cowardly side tactics (e.g. a push to the back on a layup attempt, sticking a foot out when your man's trying to beat you through a screen, and of course, an off-the-ball elbow when the refs aren't looking). It appears that Bowen chooses not to do that.
