Well, this shouldn't be completely surprising... Washington has been so hot lately and Stanford hasn't looked that good.

This game ended Stanford's "miracle season", but I think it was bigger than that. I think this game got Washington into the NCAA Tournament. They now have wins over the #1 (Stanford) and former #2 (Arizona) teams in the nation. Look for Washington in March. [IMG]

Yea, Stanford has struggled a little bit lately. And, really, by all means, they should have had at least one loss coming into this game. Though they are still a very good team, I think they were getting some lucky breaks as of late and that luck had to finally run out. But, it's better for it to run out now than in the Pac 10 tourney or in the NCAA Tourney.

Go Huskies!!! The Dawgs got to show their athleticism and defense to a large crowd and hopefully impressed the tournament committee. Lottich was almost completely out of the game and Childress got in foul trouble early so that contributed to the loss. Mike Jensen (Huskies C) looked real good as well showing his versatility.

Dag, can't believe I didn't hear about this. But to me, there still no such thing as a upset anymore. Especially when I watch Cincinnatti, huh everytime I watch them they lose to unranked teams. Dag James White, I wanna atleast see a highlight.

Washington played a great game, and Stanford just couldn't keep up. Washington has a good team, and they have a good chance to make the NCAA tounament, but lets face it with they've had a late boost of energy, and I don't think that will be enough to carry them very far into the tournament.

Late boost of energy? That is an understatement. UW has won 12 of their last 14 including 2 wins over "tournament lock" Arizona and beating the #1 team in the nation in undefeated Stanford. It's not a freak accident that they toppled mighty Stanford, the Huskies are for real, they have an extremely young team with only 1 senior...it just took time for the younger players to settle in.
