<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Steelerfan_2004)</div><div class='quotemain'>I think the point is that New England has a much better defense than Indy.</div> I would not expect a pats fan to get the point. Thier offense is 75% of what indys is but indys defense is 30% of the defense of the pats. Do the math, manning is better.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (nflfan04 )</div><div class='quotemain'> 1. because as an eagles fan, i am not to like any new york team. 2. to tick you off </div> hahaha ok
Obviously the defense is much better. Any idiot can see that. But the comment was made that the Colts dont make the playoffs with Brady at QB. MY points is that if he can do well with our offensive talent then he would do even better with the Colts. I find it hard to make a bold statement in saying that he could not bring them to the playoffs.
I don't think he'd be as succeful in Tom Moore's offense. He isn't as physically gifted as Manning. Anyone could argue that he is, but I don't think if he was as physically gifted he would have been overlooked and drafted in the 6th or 7th round.
I just think the colts play to outscore thier opponents and need to take risks on offense to do that. The patriots play to put thier defense in good positions to win. Bardy just could not put up enough points to keep up with indys defense week in and week out, he is a game manager. He plays not to make mistakes, which is what patriots need. Manning style is to score score score, which is what indy has to have. Manning stopped turning ball over as much so he would still be very effective in NE, but brady just doesnt have what it takes to out score people playing indys defense, they would be .500 at best.
it just comes down to this. colts have a better offense. pats have a better defense. there defense just stops the colts. so therefore, the colts cant get past the pats.
Defense wins everytime. That is why eagles are the worst they have been in 4 years, their offense is best but their defense is worst it has been in 4 years.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (nflfan04)</div><div class='quotemain'>it just comes down to this. there(Pats) defense just stops the colts. so therefore, the colts cant get past the pats.</div> More like Edge's to fumbles on the 1yardline cant get the colts past the pats, and Ty Laws and the other DBs rape of Marvin harrison and Colts WRs cant get the colts past the Pats/ 2 of the last 3 matchups, the Colts outplayed the Pats, but the Pats came up big in the clutch, goalline stand, and opening day this year,

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Steelerfan_2004)</div><div class='quotemain'>I think the point is that New England has a much better defense than Indy.</div> No the point is you have never seen brady with the likes of a Marvin harrison...

Shit even Steve young was laughing at how easy it was.
Is that really the arguement? Ryan Leaf could hit an open receiver. But we both know that's not the point. So let's not confuse the issue.

You can argue the point all you want. It's moot simply because we won't see it.

Well, the fact of the matter is, we're not arguing Brady's success. If you want to pick that arguement, you'll have to find another sucker. That's like saying Ali couldn't box, or Christian Okoye couldn't break a tackle on Super Techmo Bowl. It's not going to hold water. But I will stick to my arguement that Brady is not as physically gifted as Peyton Manning. Feel free to respond, argue, fight, and / or claw, but you won't win that arguement. Restating my point before, Brady would not have fallen to the 6th or 7th round had he had the physical skills of a Manning. Quarterbacks don't fall through the cracks like running backs sometimes do. Especially Qb's from Michigan.
