<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Mar 7, 10:30 PM Hill's comeback slowed JOHN DENTON FLORIDA TODAY ORLANDO -- Grant Hill's return to practice with his Orlando Magic teammates and quite possibly his return to game action this season is on hold yet again. Hill had a checkup with Dr. James Nunley at Duke University Medical Center on Saturday in North Carolina and the news was mostly positive. But the six-time All-Star forward gave the impression Sunday that doctors would prefer that he slow down his comeback. "Everything looked great. The bone looked great. I took a strength test and it was good, but not perfect," Hill said. "It comes down to the old business equation of high risk versus low reward. Right now, I'm still looking for a scenario that's high reward against low risk." Hill had his fourth -- and most extensive -- ankle surgery last March. He has played just 47 games in four years with the Magic. Hill, who has been playing one-on-one and participating in some drills the past month, is hoping to return this season and prove to himself that his ankle can withstand the pounding of NBA basketball. However, he will play no more than nine games this season because of salary cap reasons. Should Hill's ankle break down again and he's forced to retire, the final two seasons of his contract ($15.6 million in 2005-06 and $16.9 million in 2006-07) would come off the salary cap following next season. </div> I don't want to take any risks. It's time to shut him down. We'll see you next year Hill.
Yes! I didn't want to see him comeback at all this year. Hopefully he will heal up and fix what was wrong and be strong for the regular season next year.
He will probably request to play in the summer league with all the rookies and sophmores and guys that are trying to make a team. So see you in the Summer League Grant Hill.
I hope he is for real this time, I mean I hope his ankle holds up, I think he is possibly the only Player out of Duke, besides Cmaggz and Elton Brand, that I like.
Very good news for all us Grant Hill fans, sounds bad to say it, but you all know what I mean. He gets more time to rest, and can come closer and closer to being "perfect."
