The Pac-10 Tournament
    [IMG]
    March 11-13th at Staples Center

    Game 1:
    #1 Stanford vs. #8 WSU 12:20 PM

    [IMG] VS [IMG]

Preview: Stanford is clearly the favorite in this game with a 17-1 conference record, but despite that, this 1 vs 8 game is no lock...It was only a week ago that this matchup was decided by an desperation miracle 3 at the buzzer...Nonetheless, Stanford has won the last 16 matchups in this series....

    My prediction: Stanford wins 78-62

    Game 2:
    #4 California vs. #5 Oregon 2:50 PM

    [IMG] VS [IMG]

Preview: Both teams are coming in with identical conference records (9-9)...They've also split their season series with each team winning at home...Oregon is coming in losers of 5 of their last 8 while Cal has lost 5 of their last 7....

    My prediction: Oregon wins 65-61

    Game 3:
    #2 Washington vs. #7 UCLA 6:15 PM

    [IMG]" target="_blank">http://i.cnn.net/si/images/basketball/ncaa...ngton_100.gif"> VS [IMG]

Preview: UCLA has LOST 13 of their last 15 games...Washington has WON 12 of their 14 games....so Washington should blow out UCLA, rite?? Well, UCLA has swept their regular season series this year taking both games...in addition, Washington has not beaten UCLA in L.A. (at Pauley Pavilion specifically) since 1987...Does Washington's curse go all the way to Staples Center or is it isolated at Pauley?...

My prediction: Despite losing both meetings this year, Washington will blow out UCLA 72-55...

    Game 4:
    #3 Arizona vs. #6 USC 8:45 PM

    [IMG] VS [IMG]

Preview: Despite being filled with talent and billed with a top 25 ranking, Arizona has struggled within the Pac-10 posting a record of only 11-7, while going 8-1 on non-conference games...USC has been consistant at being medicore this season with a 8-10 conference record....They split their regular season series this year with both teams winning at home...

My Prediction: this is my upset pick, USC wins 76-71

If Washington is able to beat UCLA, then they're my pick to win the whole tournament...Stanford seems to be stumbling a bit, and Arizona is way too inconsistant...Washington has a 3-1 record against those teams anyway...

I believe it will be Arizona and Stanford in the finals. Washington does not have enough experienced players to go far.

I'm saying (from my biased point of view) that it will be a Washington vs. Stanford rematch in the finals, Washington winning again. Arizona is going downhill...I think they'll beat USC but beyond that I doubt they will go far.

Regarding the Arizona-USC game, what the heck is wrong with Desmond Farmer?? He's 2-19 fg, 0-10 3pt, 0-3 FT so far!! He's supposedly their best player...

EDIT: Tie game with 39 seconds left!!! Too bad I'm the only one following this game [IMG] USC ball....

EDIT: 4.7 seconds, Arizona ball, tie game...

DAMMIT...Shakur hits a game winning 3 at the buzzer....

Damn Desmond Farmer, finishes 2-20 fg, then gets shot over by Shakur

Great game, awesome shot by Shakur. Nothing like the conference tournaments to get you ready for the big dance.

I watched the UW game and 3/4 the Arizona game last night and the Huskies/Cats game should be really entertaining tonight.

I'm taking Washington and Stanford in tonight's games to stay with my prediction.

and GAME... first team to beat Arizona three times in a season since the 30's. Nate is such an exciting, amazing player. The final is going to be a huge game. I'm sticking with the Dawgs to win it and secure the tournament spot.

Stanford vs. Washington

    [IMG] VS [IMG]

Can Stanford avenge its only loss and secure a #1 seed? Washington should be at a high coming into this game because they have pretty much assured themselves a Tourney spot...Winning the Pac-10 tourney will make things extra sweet...

    I think Washington wins 72-69...

Update on the game: 45-39 Stanford at the half...
