<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Startellis:</div><div class="quote_post">Supersonic I didn't know Desmond Mason participated in Charity events. I admire any player that gives back to the community after all that the community has done for there respected players. The Cowboys pretty cool. By the way why do they call him cowboy?</div> Dez led the league in community appearances last season. The name 'Cowboy' comes from his OSU days.
Well these were awesome to read. It looks like alot of guys love there players and have wanted to talk about them but they have not had the cahnce I guess the time is now. D Wagner#2 I agree with you about Boozers work ethic, hes like a 10 foot rebound monster trapped in an undersized guys body. Carlos Boozer is just a MAN on the glass and hes fun to watch. T-Streets I hear you about my main man Allen I only wish he could get some help next year. Rip Ham Fan thats great to hear that VC is so dedicated to the team. I love that dedication that he shows to his fans. And the fact that he is a Christian also entises me to wactch him jump over 7 foooters. I wish I could have seen him do that dunk. I've only seen it in pics. VinnyMac Big Ben is another Man on the glass, and his defensive presence is supurb. Can you imagine where the Pistons would be today if he had not entered himself into the league. Scary. Qrich3 I hear you about Kobes' strive I only hope he strives to prove to the league the player he is and leaves the Lakers. I would love to see him dominate on another team go head to head against shaq. A rivalry in the making. Did you see that dunk on Yao Ming. I3 I agree also allen is unique and thats what I admire the most about him. The fact that coach or that guy might think thats a bad shot Allen takes it and doesnt complain, ok maybe a cussword but he gets over it. Ai is the reason I started watching basketball the man was amazing in the 2001 finals that whole season made me love the guy. J-oneal-7 Yeah J O is underatted considering all the hardwork that he dedicates to his game. But in a way I think that helps him focus on what he needs to do. Lets him handle his business. BigMemo Mehmet is another unique guy his game is progressively progressing. The pistons are solid with there big men you think they might get the diamond soon? BenWallace3 Big Benjamin is just a workhouse that is the catalyst of that Pistons team. Larry brown being the deffense orientated coach he is is going to help this man become even more dominant than he is. Thanks everyone these have all been interesting and fun to read.
Kobe through these years has been a consistent performer on national tv. Though this year he didn't really have so spectacular dunks, he still got those moves like damn. His been the most exciting player to me to watch since he has been in the league. Though he takes questionable shots, it's at a 50% clip. At times, he should trust his teammates more, but he got game.
Although Allen Iverson is my favourite player, Kobe Bryant is the player i admire most. He always strives to be the best. After all he has been through this year(injury, accused of rape,no time for basketball over summer) he still plays at an all star and top 10 player level.
I like Artest's drive determination and stubborness. To be a great defender fundementals do help but you must have that confident mentality that you can shut down the player you are guarding no matter what happens.
I admire Tracy's will to win. His will to give it his all even though he know's he's not going to come out the victor. His playing style his grace his ablitiys. I admire everything about Tracy McGrady
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting CourtVision:</div><div class="quote_post">What about his big mouth?</div> I like that to he's never scared to speak his mind
Thats a good way to put it. He does say some stupid things from time to time but he's never afraid to speak his mind. I respect that....but not some of the things he says.
MJ was the best, how could you not love him, played 110% every game, when he was sick, injured, or just not in the flow...he still gave it his all...for me top 3 players I like because of their attitude is: MJ Kobe Gilbert Arenas-This kid is a gmy rat, Eddie Jordan said he was the first in the gym and always last to leave, he wants to win and will do whatever it takes to win.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Startellis:</div><div class="quote_post">Thats great, "KG is the Mvp," I love KG's drive. I hope alot of people resond in this tread this is interesting.</div> i love carmelos drive and determination.. his points come from all over the place and he can score from anywhere on the floor. he is getting better at passing every game and his rebounding has stayed quite solid throughout the year..... he is already a force to be reckoned with
I love Mike Bibby's style of play. He dishes out the dimes and he still puts up his numbers too. And also, Peja Stojakovic. I love his outside shot. When you doubt he'll make a certain shot, he just proves you wrong. And he's consistent.
Oh and I forgot to say that KMart won't back down from anybody. He doesn't care if you're a superstar like TD, he'll make you earn your points. He doesn't care if you're an all start like 'Toine, he'll shut you down for a series. He doesn't care if you're a big monster like Big Ben, he'll have his chest ready for your banging. He also would play hurt if needed. These past few games, he's playing with left knee tendinitis which hurts a lot. They're a lock to make the playoffs but he's not tempted to miss a few games to rest his knee. The MRI showed negative so he's going to play even if in pain as long as it's not going to affect the team in the long run.
I admire AK's hustle, heart, defense, and most importantly his humble nature. He is never one to blame other players or even given too much props to himself. I enjoy that attitude in players
yeah so any other ppl whose fav player is melo post it on here.. id like to know and find out... c ya
Garnetts passion for the game. His drive on the floor... leaving it all on the floor each and every night... his extreme emotions from when he misses a shot to when he makes one.
Tim Duncan Each game he puts up mvp numbers. and will do anything to help his team win. thats y they have two rings with him.
My favorite All-Time Player is John Stockton. He was always looked to make his team and teammates better. Stock never gave up, even though he never won a championship, you could see it in his eyes every game he was out there to win. Stockton never took a break during the off season, they said he would be in the weight room at 6 a.m., playing pick up games at Gonzaga U., and ride bikes up the tallest mountains around the Spokane area during the off season. He never gave up, he was the first in the gym before practice and the last to leave. He believed that he had a job to give to each fan his best, and thats the way he played. He was never into records, even though he holds some of the greatest records for Point Guards, he always just said they was numbers for fans. Only time we really seen great emotion in him was in 97 when he hit the shot in Houston. I always admired at what a family guy, his wife said that he would get the kids ready for school, then take them to school, come back make her breakfast and still make it to practice before anyone else. Anyone who can put up with 6 kids and still have a productive basketball career in his 40's is a great guy.
Hinrich and Bibby They don't show off. They aren't ballhogs. They aren't the stereotypical basketball player (women, clubs, etc)
