<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">For the past five games, Tim Duncan has done his best to help the Spurs. He's given his teammates advice. He's listened to the coaches discuss strategy. He's offered an opinion or two on the officiating.

He hopes tonight to provide more than encouragement.

Barring a setback at this morning's shootaround ? or a last-minute change of heart by coach Gregg Popovich ? Duncan is expected to start against Memphis.

Popovich listed Duncan's chances of playing as "between questionable to probable." If he is cleared to play at this morning's shootaround, the Spurs are expected to place either guard Matt Carroll, who was signed Monday, or Jason Hart on the injured list.
