<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Krazygreen:</div><div class="quote_post">you are obviously a band-wagon cavs fan, did u liek them last season or the season before? i think not, jump off the wagon buddy....</div>

No, I don't pick favorites too often. My "favorites" consist of teams that I enjoy watching, infact there's several of them. I don't choose favorites and than refuse to believe their anything less than my personal opinion of them, that's just simply not how I operate. Being a Cleveland fan has nothing to do with bandwagons, but everything to do with the fact that they're enjoyable to watch.

What does ANY of that have to do with my personal opinion of The Lakers in the first place?

Actually you're wrong. Being a Cleveland fan has everything to do with being a bandwagoner fan. If LeBron James decided to go to college and not play for the Cavs, would you even consider the Cavs as one of your favorite teams? Would you even sit at your TV and watch 48 minutes of Cavs basketball? And another thing.....if you like more than one team, you are looked at as a typical bandwagoner fan.

I don't select personal favorites, I watch basketball because it's a sport that's enjoyable and fun to watch. OBVIOUSLY, if you watch basketball for that reason than your going to be attracted to the teams that fit that description, fun to watch. I personally believe Cleveland, along with SEVERAL other teams, fall into that catagory and that's why I'm a fan of Cleveland basketball.

Who knows if Lebron wasn't there, if they were still a FUN team to watch than I'd still infact be glued to the TV for the 48 minutes. It Honestly has less to do with band wagons and more to do with how much enjoyment is pulled from watching that team or player produce on the hardwood, or at least in my opinion.

Perhaps you don't believe in logic though...

Thats pretty much another way of saying you are a bandwagon fan, despite how you want to spin it.
Caring about teams only when they are something special. Not giving a damn when they arent. Thats the definition of bandwagoner

lol you claim that one of you fav players in lebron? right off the bat, if you were a real fan of cleveland and lebron, you wouldnt be trying to pretend like you didnt jump on his dick and start riding him. BACK UP YOUR FAV TEAM

and if you claim that you watch the nba bcuz its fun to watch exciting teams, you should be the biggest fan of the lakers, because the last time i checked, they are the funnest team to watch (dont believe me, NBA lost 6 million viewers when the lakers were eliminated by the spurs last season) how about them apples?

Btw, in LA, kobe IS considered the man...we love shaq, but KOBE has been the reason why us laker fans love to watch them so much...his explosiveness, his heart, his game winning buzzer beaters, his talent, athleticism, his work ethic, his personality, everything about him

so for you to tell me, someone who is a resident of los angeles, that kobe isnt the man here...you need to visit southern cali sometimes buddy, cause that statement couldnt be more un-true.

So I'm also an Orlando, Boston, and Washington band wagon fan? I didn't know those bandwagons existed with their terrible records. They certainly aren't special, but I do infact give a damn about them and I enjoy watching them regardless of their records.

I like Gilbert Arenas and enjoy watching him, thus I enjoy watching Washington. The same applies for Drew Gooden and Tracy McGrady, allowing me to enjoy Orlando basketball. Once again it has less to do with the team, the teams success, etc. It has more to do with the enjoyment that's pulled from watching the team and it's players.

how does basketball excite you if you like every team? who do you cheer for? how do u anticipate a game if you arent biased for a team you want to win... i dont understand the concept of that, it doesnt make the sport fun...ive been a laker fan since 93, when they were losers, i could never, NEVER be a fan of another team...just wouldnt seem right.

It's easy. I anticipate a game if both teams are talented and I know it should prove to be worth watching. For instance, tonight is Dallas and Sacramento, I don't need to be bias to have great anticipation for that game. Both teams are tremendously talented, both teams are fun to watch, and it should be an excellent game and very enjoyable at that.

I enjoy watching basketball period. I could care less if it's Miami playing Washington on a saturday night, there's still plenty of great talent to watch and it's still exciting. I have predictions on what teams I believe will be more successful than others, and I have teams that I'd like to see succeed. I don't let that get in the way of my perspective on the league though, nor do I jump on band wagons.

Dude, some of us watch more then just 'our (one and only) favorite teams games'. Not all of us feel like we have to choose one team and be 'loyal' to that team, and blindly believe that they are gods.

'Fun' is a matter of opinion... watching Kobe play T-Mac could be 'fun' to me, whilst its 'boring' to my Grandmother.

Common sense does its wonders. [IMG]

no, i live in LA, i have always been a laker fan, i root for my lakers in the playoffs...i havent jumped on no one else's bandwagon, i love kobe, i love shaq, i love the whole laker team/management, ownership, etc... and thats where it stops....if the lakers dont win, I DONT CARE FOR BASKETBALL...because im what you call, a TRUE FAN

i could watch other games, no problem, but the games that matter to me are the one the lakers PLAY, thats it. I dont care what you say man, thats like saying your favorite team is the lakers, but you like the kings too....thats ridiculous, i hate the kings with a passion.

what do you mean im blind because i think one team is my god? lol thats hilarious, go tell that to the 100000000 fans of their 1 favorite team in sports...silly

what kind of excitement does it bring if you are fans of rival teams?

the whole concept of a sport is to be biased towards a team, grow to love that team, and love the COMPETITIVENESS of your team winning and losing games, keep up with the team that you love...i love that about sports, i could relate to my lakers, i dont care for other teams.

Not everyone wants to, or feels like they have to, or need to for that matter... 'be a true fan'. "I'm a true fan!! i r special!!!!111"

And again, nothing wrong with picking one team and being a 'true' fan. Dude, you said you live and grew up in California? I'm kinda the same way with Utah, I want Utah to be the best, but they aren't. It's all good, but I still refuse to limit who I root for so I can be a 'true fan'. It's all about the excitement, what you enjoy. This is the NBA, not College.

who actually cares about bandwagon or not? even if you are - is it restricted?
if you like watching a team and you think yore a fan then you are, who cares about wha kind of, really. The more fans of your team the better. Even if they are bandwagon.
