Robinson was examined Monday by orthopedist James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala. He was given two options: surgery that would sideline him for three to five weeks, or rehabilitation that may get him back sooner.

What a friggin surprise. This guy is a walking wheelchair. I remember watching this guy play in Atlanta and his body was so wrecked that he couldn't bend over to tie his shoes.

I'm not really sure, but i kind of hope so. I really like how the sixers play when kenny thomas is the go to guy, he's been tearin' shit up lately. Plus, green and korver get more time.

THIS IS A MAJOR BLOW! Much bigger than any of Jenna Jameson blows. Glenn is our best shooter, plus he's consistant at what he does. We better hope that Jackson and Coleman play 2x better than the way they played before the injury.

I think he needs to hang up the kicks for the season, he takes a beating and his career is winding down, he doesnt want to have permanent damage or anything like that in his elbow.

Sixers update of Glenn, DC & Jackson.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">It remains unclear exactly how long Robinson will be out, although he said: "I expect to be back [by the end of the season], and I expect to be in the playoffs."

Before the Sixers' 89-81 victory Tuesday in Chicago, Robinson said he could miss 3 to 5 weeks if he went ahead with the surgery.

"This is something that has been bothering Glenn all year, and now it's time to take care of business," coach Chris Ford said. "It's what he wants. I don't get involved in situations like that; I leave that up to the player and our medical people."

After Tuesday's victory, the Sixers remained 1 ? games out of the No. 8 (and final) postseason berth in the NBA's Eastern Conference. With 17 games remaining, the regular season ends April 14.

Robinson is expected to go on the injured list, which currently includes Derrick Coleman, Marc Jackson and Todd MacCulloch, the maximum three permitted.

Ford said any additional decisions would come after this morning's practice, which was to include a scrimmage with Coleman and Jackson participating.

    Also, little blurb from Sixers.com:

Iverson has been ruled out for the New York game, which will be his third straight with right knee synovitis. Robinson is awaiting surgery for bone chips in his right elbow, scheduled for Tuesday.

With that situation, the possibility exists that Coleman and/or Jackson could be activated for the Knicks? game.

?Both are anxious to play,? 76ers President and General Manager Billy King said. ?Now, I want to see how they?ll feel tomorrow when they wake up after today?s practice and see where we stand that way. There?s a possibility both of them tomorrow.?

Damn, you got to it before me KVH.

Anyways I was really looking foward to AI getting revenge on Marbury and the Knicks. But looks like that wont be happening. But he better play against the Pistons.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Damn were officaly screwed.</div>

You can say that again. After the Sixers lost AI and Glenn I thought the season was over. But then they won 3 straight, and I gained alot more hope. But now Jackson and DC are forced to come off the injured list and AI is still out. Things arent looking too good. [IMG]

Even more bad news.AI wont be playing against New York.It sucks, I hope he doesn't rush back though because it will hurt him in the long run.I still hope he will be able to come back soon.I can't even remember the last time the Sixers have been an overall healthy team, its gets old year after year seeing main players get injured.
