Welcome back Britton Johnson? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Orlando Magic have signed free agent forward Britton Johnsen to a 10-day contract, General Manager John Gabriel announced today. My English is not yet good enough, I believe. Did we really sign Britton Johnson again and does it also mean that we released Penigar? If I understood it correctly, than I really don't know what's going on or actually I don't understand at all what's going on. Does anyone have any feelings about this?
unfortunately it's true. we'll see... i think that's not a good desicion from gabe. here is the text from orlandosentinel: Penigar gone, Johnsen back Forward Britton Johnsen, who started the first three games for the Orlando Magic, will return and sign a 10-day contract. The Magic released forward Desmond Penigar after Tuesday night's game against the Heat in Miami. Penigar had been working on his second 10-day deal. Johnsen, signed by the Magic as a free agent Sept. 11, was a surprise in training camp. With Gordan Giricek injured, he opened the season against the New York Knicks Oct. 29 as the starting small forward. Johnsen started three games and played in another one, averaging just 2.8 points, before going on the injured list. He was waived Nov. 16 after Giricek came off the injured list.
Weird decision. Why not keep Penigar? Johnsen didn't prove anything before, why would he prove something now?
Hopefully we can start getting good moves. Possibly bring Penigar back for the remainder of the year with Gabe gone.
