My dad came up with an interesting point about the Sixers and why Iverson wouldn't be traded. Alot had to do with Ed Snider, Sixers/Flyers chairman.

If the NHL had the lockout or whatever it is, then there'd be no hockey. Then if Iverson was traded, no one would come to Sixers game. Leaving the seats of the WC virtually empty between October-April. Of course, there's still the Wings & Soul games as well as concerts but still. Would Ed Snider really wanna make that kinda of move?

Well In my opinion I think it all depends on the type of talent you get in return for the trade. for instance they got a couple of good role players and an upcoming star. Then actually more people might come to the games. The sixers have proven they can win without Iverson they just need some bulk in the post. I think it mostly just depends on who they get in return. Becaus I dont think many people will come to see Iverson if the sixers keep losing.

Great point kvhfan. I really agree with your dad's point. Iverson probably will not be traded concerning a scenario like this. Wings and Soul games will not bring in the type of fans that the Flyers and Iverson/Sixers bring in. I was just at the Wings game last night and the place was half empty. Soul is popular now but watch it slowly peeter down in fan count. I hope Iverson isnt traded for Ed Snider and the AI fan's sake!

RIght...If AI leaves,.........NO ONE WILL WANT TO NOT ONLY "GO TO GAMES", THEY WONT EVEN WATCH THE SIXER GAME ON T.V. HOW HORRIBLE IS THAT? (im not screaming...just emphasizing the point)...

BUT I think, AI should leave for his sake.

The TV staff already started putting the last few games of this season on tape delay. [IMG]

If AI was traded I would go to more games. The Sixers have some great up and coming talent (Dalembert,Korver,Green,Thomas) Without Iverson those guys get more shots and minutes. Plus Iverson just isn't the player he used to be.
