In a case that was argued Monday, arbitrator Roger Kaplan invalidated an NBA memo barring the other 28 teams from signing Baker until his other grievance -- against the Boston Celtics -- is settled. </div>

This means Baker is free to join ANY team. The front runners are probably the Knicks and Lakers at this point.

You think the Lakers would pick him up? Just until Malone returns?

Isnt Karl coming back tonight against the wolves?

But I think Vin looks good to alot of eastern Conference teams. In the article they mentioned the Heat. I think that would be a good fit for him. They are extremely weak in their front line low post positions. And they have alot of players that are good off the dribble like Wade, Skip, Odom to make the game alot easier for him. And create easy scoring opportunities for him. Also having a guy like Pat Riley in the front office willing to take a chance on him, will help Vin Baker with his confidence. And he would be motivated to prove something to Pat because of the respect Pat has in the basketball world.

I care more about whether or not The Celtics have to pay him for the remaining years on his contract, I could honestly care less where he goes. Although I doubt The Lakers are a "front runner." I've heard nothing supporting this and I don't know why The Lakers would want more drama entering their ball club at this point. From what I understand the actual front runners are The Bucks, The Heat, and The Knicks but that could always change.

The knicks will probally get him in my opinion. Because Isaih is pulling the trigers left and right. Hopefully Vin can get over his alchoholic problems. i wonder why they dont make alcholic patches or somthing for guys like that. Maybe that is something people are working on hopefully. Well I think starbury can give him a few dimes as in assists and get him going again.
