    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting :</div><div class="quote_post">Forget 62 points. Tracy McGrady believes it's just a matter of time before he breaks 70.

"It'll happen before I retire," McGrady said Thursday.McGrady scored 62 Wednesday night against the Washington Wizards, the NBA's biggest scoring spree in almost a decade. In Orlando's 108-99 win, he had 50 points by late in the third quarter. But McGrady missed 10 of 11 shots and six of 16 free throws down the stretch. </div>

Never satisfied. When you score 62 and don't win by double digits, you got problems. But I guess their season is pretty much over so why not go for it.

First the 2nd round playoff comments, then harping on Lebron, then promising to get 70 in a game...

Tracy needs to keep his mouth shut and try to do more to help his team win games aside from just scoring.

He's a great player, but the more he opens his mouth, the more respect I lose for him.

^ Yea...he's just too young. Not mature enough to lead his team.

I saw nothing wrong with those comments. He's not trashing anyone like he's done in the past.

So he wants to score 70 points? What's a the big deal? He's set a goal.

It's no different from someone saying, "I want to graduate"

If you're gonna lose respect at someone cause of that then I don't know what to say.

Sorry, but I don't think a player will score 60+ points if it's a blow out game. Most coaches bench their stars in blow out games, in essence, giving them no chance to score 60+.

    Unless, maybe, you're Ricky Davis.LOL

Couldn't say it any better than crazytown. The comments on LeBron were his honest opinion what's wrong with that? This comments were probably after watching the game on a tape..he wasn't trying to score 62 points in the 1st half.. and then he missed all those shots in the 4th quater , not to mention the FT.

Can't wait for those 70+ , I'm very happy for T-Mac the crowd was awesome I'm sure he enjoyed it , hopefully more points not to opt-out next season.

It's not like he says he's gonna come out the next game and kill Brent Barry(or whoever will guard him). I like these comments actually, because this means that he's got 70 as his goal. He's going to work hard to get 70 sometime. I mean what player's goal isn't to score 70 points? Everyone wants 70.

    Tmac looking at 70

I don't really care, as far as I see it he should be playing 48 minutes per game and they should try and get him some records, its not like their season is going anywhere.

No, but we don't want him to get injured. I think we're going to start lowering his minutes to 40 instead of 44-48mins, unless of course he has another game like this.

Really? This means he is going to be with the Magic for a long time... Long time..

Why? Cause he said hes going to do it before he retires.. Wheres the only place hes going to be able to do it? Orlando.. If he signs on with a team that has another gun, then he isnt going to come close..

    I think he loves orlando..

Haha actually I think its him just joking around.. He could be joking for all we know, they dont show his mood in the article..

Its easy to say but maybe he should focus on winning more games rather than on scoring 70 points. I'm just sayin....

Its a team game, not an individual game. So what happens the next time McGrady gets off to a hot start? Is he going to just start shooting everytime down so that he can get his 70? You don't want your best player putting himself above the team and that seems what Tracy was implying with his comments.

If McGrady had a choice to score 70 and lose or score 7 and win, what do you honestly think he'd say?

I think he would take the win to be honest. Mcgrady does talk like a self-centred player but he does want to win and I won't take that away from him

McGrady would take the W most definently. Saying that you're going to score 70 isn;t degrating your teammates. You win as a team and you lose as a team. McGrady know's this. I like it when he runs his mouth. If his teams thinks that he's putting them down then they can play harder and show him what they're really made up. There's nothing wrong with the thruth. But back on topic i think he'll score 70 before this season is over with.

I think Redscoon is just pissed cause T-Mac chose Carmelo over Lebron for R.O.Y..LOL

Which by the way, I agree with. Carmelo is in atougher conference and his #'s have improved every month.

    Carmelo for R.O.Y!!

T-Mac going for 70 now this guy is insane. I do believe he can accomplish that goal. If i were him i woulda done the same after accomplishing a goal set a higher bar. Like many others in this thread said their season isnt going anywhere.

Now why did you have to go and say that. Now this thread is ruined. It's going to be one of those LeBron over Carmelo vice/versa threads.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Air Canada:</div><div class="quote_post">T-Mac should take a look at this link : http://www.nba.com/standings/by_conference.html

Look where his team is located along with the record .. and SHUT THE HELL UP !

.. He's the biggest " Me First " superstar in the league !</div>
What are you talking about. Have you watched some of his games. The guy got some losses because he was passing the ball too much and his teammates could'nt hit the shots. Me first? The guy got's like 6 assists per game. I hate it when people come in here and just run there mouth about things they don't know.
