Notes: Miami leads the season 1-0 after a 105-98 victory in Seattle on November 18. The is rookie sensation Dwyane wade's third game back from in jury, after helping the Heat defeat Orlando but drop a game to New Orleans. Miami gave up 42 freethrow attempts to the Hornets, with Baron Davis, Jamaal Magloire and David Weseley all attempting at least 10 each. Seattle come in off a home loss to Minnesota. Ray Allen had 37 points, but didn't play in the first match-up of these teams this season due to his ankle injury. The Sonics welcomed back Brent Barry against the Timberwolves, who looked rusty after a six week lay off with a broken finger. Seattle went 4-16 in that time. Miami are fighting Boston currently for the final playoff seed in the East, while the Sonics are out of playoff reckoning, despite having an almost identical record to the Heat. Miami needs every win they can get if they really want to be in the playoffs picture. I'll take the Heat by 6. btw , Aren't you a mod? I think you should be using your Edit button there .
The Heat will definitely take this one, I predict by 4 in a late game thriller. Some more good news for the Heat is that the Celtics are taking on the Pacers tonight, so the Celtics will most likely lose which would significantly help us. Also, the Knicks and Sixers are playing tonight, hopefully the Sixers will be able to shut down the Knicks, which also would help the Heat a great deal.
The Heat must take this one, I predict a 3 point victory in a close game that goes down to free throws. Light it up Wade light it up. Wade and Ray Allen battle, I hope so. GO HEAT!!
Woa!! A bad offensive game by the 2 teams. But a very entertainment final 2 minutes. 12-2 run. But the Heat won! Tie with Knicks for the 7th spot/
Ray struggled. He was only 5 for 17 from the field. The whole team shot badly.Only 37%. Udonis Haslem had a double-double with 12pts and 12 rebounds. An incredible turnaround down the stretch resulted in a big win for the Miami Heat. Rafer Alston hit a pair of clutch 3-pointers 36 seconds apart late in the fourth quarter.Congrats to the Heat for the win.
What an amazing game last night, the energy inside the arena was simply electrifying. Skip was spectacular, he's a real gem and will soon be recognized as one of the top PG's in the league, mark my words. Eddie was great coming up with a bunch of clutch shots, Udonis had another double double, it was just an all around fantastic game. Lamar couldn't even hit a 10 foot jumper last night, but that huge trey at the end to seal the game was just awesome, the Heat were on a roll and at that point everybody on the team was hot. Dwyane created some great plays when we were down by 1 point or so in the final quarter, Seattle made the big mistake of switching to a zone at the late stages in the game and Dwyane took advantage of it by driving the lane and collapsing the defense, then dishing to Eddie and Skip for some huge triples. When you're hot, you're hot . Some more good news for us is that it looks as though K-Mart will not be playing in this Sunday's game against New Jersey, we have a very good chance of winning this game. We already blew the Nets out once this year, we can do it again, especially when they don't have K-Mart. I bet Lamar was happy when he heard K-Mart wouldn't be playing .
Why isn't Wade starting right now... this sucks, I know it's his 3rd game from injury but still. He isn't as good a PG as Alston since his TOs suck. But Jones isn't as good a SG as Wade, and he needs a chance to prove it...
all i can say is that i'm one of the skeptics that skip is winning over... those treys were HUGE. thought i was seeing Timmy all over again. And the Pacers killed the Celts
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr.Wade:</div><div class="quote_post">Why isn't Wade starting right now... this sucks, I know it's his 3rd game from injury but still. Not only is Dwyane not as good a PG as Skip, but Skip is just on a completely different level in that position. EJ is a much better SG than Dwyane and frankly we wouldn't be much of a team at all if EJ wasn't starting, EJ gets the job done in crunch time and he leads this team in scoring and a couple of other categories. Dwyane will hopefully be back to his regular self soon, and when he is then you can be guaranteed he'll be starting at PG, even though I disagree with it. Stan has said time and time again that Dwyane is just too talented to come off the bench and not start. At a Heat game about 2 months ago, I went into the Miami Hoops Gear store during half time and wanted to buy a Rafer Alston authentic jersey, I could not find one so I asked if they had any and they said they didn't because there was no demand for them, so I had them order one for me. You can be guaranteed they'll have a ton of Alston jerseys in stock with the way he's been playing recently .
Yea as much as I like Wade, he's not a better point than Rafer and not a better 2 than EJ. That was such a good game though, I loved it. Rafer really hit some big shots and I'm happy we were able to take this one. Wade will probably be inserted back within the next 2 games, and its not a bad thing, but Rafer has really been impressive.
I don't know you guys. Wade hasn't been given the chance to show he's a better 2 than EJ, since he's only played it once for acouple minutes and ripped it up. Ohwell, he's starting this game over Skip even though alot of poeple disagree (not me! ) GO HEAT GO!
