I just hope to God that this wasn't a fluke for Rose. I guess we'll just have to see in our game with Utah on wednesday.

    Raptors win 101-84.

Good win for the Raptors, an expected one in my eyes.

Vince had a good game with 32 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds

Jalen Rose had 23 points, 7 assists

Chris Bosh had 14 points, 16 rebounds, and a sick dunk (I think it was over Diaw).

Our starting lineup played with a lot of intensity, they got off to a quick start, and thanfully they were able to hold the lead down the stretch to a much less talented Hawks team. Jalen Rose played very well in his return, I just hope he can continue his success.

The Raptors play Utah at the ACC on Wednesday, look for my game thread.

Don't be too critical, however, if he does actually come out in a slump. It's been a long time since he's played (about a month) so he might get winded a little, and his legs might not be under him for his shots, but I hope I'm wrong. He was killing it from all over the floor this afternoon. Treys, mid range, postups down low, and also getting dimes. I love having three playmakers on the floor! Great to see him back!

VC, once again had an excellent game against the Hawks, Bosh is coming on strong and is starting to shake off those nagging injuries he had sustained earlier, and Rod Strickland continues to impress. Corrie Blount was a bit rusty in his debut, but that should be expected seeing as he doesn't know what we are trying to run on both ends of the floor, but he still managed to get some nice tips on the ball on the O boards. In time, I'm sure we can get him open for those 12-15 ft set shots, and he'll readily convert.

Alvin is said to have made huge progress since is minor knee surgery, and seems to be ready to come back in about a week. Although it will be great to further enhance our depth during the final 15 games of the season, I say we let him rest some more. Now I know he'll refuse to sit down, because he's a bit hard-headed, but you can't deny his passion and love for the game and his leadership will do us good when he is ready to contribute. Maybe he can slowly make his way back in the game by coming off the bench and letting Rod and Jalen start. He can ease the pressure off those joints and be ready for that last stretch of games at the end of the season, if he accepts that role.

I'm happy the Raps got the win, they showed a sense of urgency and a determined effort for most parts of the game. Let's hope they can continue to play great like they did tonight, and come out with that energy for our next game. Go Raps, GO!

Great game, this is a win we had to get, and the Raptors played with urgency today. Vince Carter dominated the first half and Jalen Rose dominates the second half. Carter scored 32 points (13-19), pulled down 5 rebounds and dished out 7 assists.

Jalen Rose scored 23 points (10-20), pulled down 7 boards and dished out 7 dimes. Chris Bosh also had a great game for the Raptors scoring 14 points and gathering 16 rebounds. Donyell Marshall the always consistent Raptors was off today and scored 11 points (5-14) and pulled down only 5 rebounds.

The highlight of the game was Milt Palacio (injured): 0 minutes, and Michea Curry: 3 minutes.

The Raptors shot 46.7% as a team and 52.6% from long range. They also won the rebound battle by 1 (44-43), and got 11 steals while forcing Atlanta to 18 turnovers.

Jason Collier was big for the Hawks scoring 21 points (8-14) and grabbing 11 rebounds (6 offensive). My brother was pushing that we should get him before he went to the Hawks, he's been light it up for the Hawks so I guess he would've helped us.

Raptors face Utah and Chicago next and need to win those games before their 4 away games after that.

    Boris Diaw starting center ??????

Yeah Miami won against the Nets tonight, leaving us behind the pack. All we can hope for is a win against Utah on Wednesday, and future losses by Boston and Miami.

^ Yeah...shoot. HOW did NY come back?!?!? Nonetheless, the game was pretty crazy. Bosh's dunk was absolutely monstrous! Also, that 3 by Mo-pete to end the half had me off my seat & shouting. Blount shot poorly (0-5) but he was still aggressive and played pretty solid d. Speaking of d, Curry was not doing his job well and i'm glad O'Neil realized that and took him off. Let's make it 3 in a row vs. Utah and then the Bulls!!! (I'll be there too [IMG] )

Jalen played much better than i expected. Vince gota a lot of touches and should always be like that. They got everyone into the game including they're 3 point shooting. Rod strickland has done well covering that PG position

Wow, if we actually play like this every other game we got left on our schedule... we should be able to make it. Jalen Rose's like a booster, helps us get out of the goddamn slump, good stuff. Not to mention Vince playin better than ever overall in his career... his scorin may be down, but I never seen him put up solid numbers like that in rebound and assist category and still put up 30+... and he's been doin that pretty often lately too.

With Heat and Cavs winnin the games they supposed to lose(against Nets and Pacers... DAMN) it might be tough. It's not a matter of US playin well, it'll be no use if they play like that for the rest of the season... but since we do have easier schedule than both teams, just hope they gon screw up and break down some of those games, and that Raps gon play consistent for the rest of the games we got.

I'm sure he knows thats. I thin what he's trying to say is that hes been putting up good numbers frequently.
