Philadelphia 76ers @ Detroit Pistons (3/14) (Pistons win 85-69......5 straight!!)

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/preview?gameId=240314008

Quote:

AUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) -- The surging Philadelphia 76ers shoot for a fifth straight win on Sunday when they face former coach Larry Brown and the Detroit Pistons.
Philadelphia has won four straight after Friday's dramatic 99-94 victory over New York in double overtime. Kenny Thomas had his 10th consecutive double-double with 25 points, 16 rebounds and five blocks for the 76ers.

The Sixers improved to 6-1 without injured stars Allen Iverson and Glenn Robinson. They activated forwards Derrick Coleman and Marc Jackson before the game and each played sparingly.

Detroit has also won four straight and eight out of nine after Wednesday's 98-65 rout of Chicago. The Pistons have set an NBA record by holding their last four opponents below 70 points.

Philadelphia has won two of three matchups with Detroit this season.
Since it seems that no one's going to post a preview, i thought i'd take the liberty [IMG]

Not nearly as good as PyroManiac's previews. So if he posts a preview, i'll gladly edit this to his.

btw, without AI, i predict the Pistons will keep another opponent under 70 points.

key to the game: control the boards.

Damn, sorry about the no preview. Thanks for covering it up iamme. I forget that Sunday games are so early so I was just getting ready to make mine. :P I'm not sure if we can hold the Sixers under 70, that is just too difficult to do for the 5th straight time, even if they don't have AI.

Pistons should still win by double digits though. :P

I never knew watching a team hold another team under 70pts could be so fun. Most entertaining low scoring game I've ever seen. To bad Darko couldn't score, and got swatted twice. Oh well.

btw, great to see Rasheed really into the game at the end. he was cheering and laughing when it looked like would keep Philly under 70.

Seems like every team the Pistons have played lately have had a "bad game".

It's awesome that the Pistons are playing so well lately, and they're all really getting into it. Unfortunately, every time Darko plays I get less and less excited. What's so special about this guy?

I missed most of the game, watching the ACC championship game, which was awesome! You guys should have watched it, went into overtime and it was much closer than the final score indicates.

Sure, Darko was swatted twice, but he swatted a couple himself in just three minutes of play. If that's not at least a bit of an indication that he has the potential to be a special player, I'm not sure what is.
