This past game Jason Kidd got his 59th career triple double tieing Larry Bird for 4th place in the record books. Im not sure what the number of all time triple doubles is but it cant be out of reach for Jason.

Congrats J. Kidd. The next player he needs to pass is Wilt Chamberlain, with 78 triple doubles.

Oscar Robertson leads everyone with a career total of 181. During one season, he averaged a triple double. I wish Jason luck on passing that statistic.

wow 181! Thats more than i would have guessed. I think that record will be there for a very long time. It would be almost as hard to break Robertsons record for a basketball player as it would be for a baseball player to break Cal Ripkins consecutive games played record.

Man Jason Kidd has to be the games best all around current player. Big O seriously had 181 career triple doubles, that is insane. Old School rules. Good luck to Jason on beating Wilt.

Congrats to Jason.I don't think he will surpass Oscar Robertson's record but I think Kidd might pass Wilt's record. He's just missing 20 triple doubles to surpass him.

Always wondered how many TD's Wilt Chamberlain had. Oscar Robertson td 's was 30.8ppg, 12.5rpg, and 11.4apg.

Kidd's going to be awesome through his entire career no doubt. Just a sample of his greatness and achievement for now, and those to come. I believe he'll past Wilt, not too soon, 10 is still a lot considering. Just sad to see one of the greatest record's go down.
