If you could be an executive for ONE day for any team, what ONE move would you make (or try to at least)?

    Boston Celtics

Trade Ricky Davis, Raef LaFrentz, and 1st Round Selection to Portland in exchange for Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Darius Miles.

Perhaps Portland would except, only visible problem would be aquiring Ricky Davis because of his character issues.

What moves would you guys make for some of your favorite teams?

Mine really isnt a major move but,

    New Jersey Nets

I would sign a veteran backup Point Guard.

Lucious Harris is trying to play backup pg right now but he looks extremely uncomfortable alot of the time. He is a 2 guard naturally. And the Nets need Lucious to focus on shooting the basketball not worrying about getting outhers involved. Harris is the Nets best perimeter shooter off the bench. But with him playing point guard he doesnt look to shoot or score as much as he use too.

The Nets offense doesnt flow well on most nights when Harris comes in to relieve Kidd at the point. That forces Kidd back into the game alot quicker, He isnt getting enuff rest because of it.

So I would sign a veteran pg on the FA market like Derrick Martin. He played well for the wolves during the time Hudson was out. He was extremely aggressive off the dribble, thats what the Nets need at the backup PG.

I'd find some way for the Wolves to get Eric Dampier.

If i could be an executive of a team..For a day..It would have to be spurs..And i would try and aquire..A strong athletic guard..More like a one on one player..Who can drive and dish..Steven Jackson was very good at this..Long and athletic could help create problems and leave tim open..I am not sure though who would fit this...I mean manu and parker are quick but we need players who can take that gamble and are good one on one players..Fred Jones is a possibility..Brings tough defense is built like a quarter back..And has amazing vertical leap..And can breal people down with his athletiscm..I don't know really i would't try to change the tem to much..Just someone who can adjust to the spurs team chemistry!

I would allow the Bobcats to take Brian Grant from the Heat which would clear a ton of cap space and I would then sign Stephen Jackson and Erick Dampier in the offseason [IMG].

Just look for someone who'd be executive of the day for the Bobcats and hope that he'll be stupid enough to accept. lol

I'd hire Jim O'Brien as the next coach of the Orlando Magic. He would teach us defense and would actually let the young guys play!

Yeah, that'd be a smart move for the Sixers to go after Kenyon Martin, but I think the Nets aren't going to give any team a chance to get K-Mart, they'll sign him right away.

Well they do need some toughness, maybe Okur would be the better option. I'm sure If Dumars was offered that he would take it in a second though.

A few people jumping on the Stephen Jackson Bandwagon? nice to see lol

I would be the Clippers GM...

This is what I would do....

    1. I would get rid of Dooling and Jaric...well, Dooling will be a free agent so that's no probelm...I'd trade Jaric for a backup big man, or a 2nd round pick somewhere....

    2. Acquire a solid point guard, preferbly a guy like Earl Watson (via trade)...there was a bit of friction between he and Hubie brown anyway...perhaps Jaric and a 2nd round pick (altho Jerry West is no fool)

    3. Re-sign Bobby Simmons....

    4. Sign Jason Collier (altho atl just did)...I was always high on this guy and I think with coaching, he could be similar to Troy Murphy...

    5. (Sign-n-) Trade Q-Richardson - He's spectacular, and puts up good numbers, but anyone who watches the Clipps a lot knows he doesn't help the team that much...I'm not a fan of his Matador defense and poor shot selection...

Wouldnt sixer fans love that. But it wouldnt work. K-Mart & Steph bumped heads because Steph shot too much. What do you think the relationship between K-mart & AI would be like?

K-mart isnt the type of player who is going to be quite while AI runs around pumping up 50 shots per game. K-Mart is willing to do alot of the dirty work. And rebounding/defense. But he still want a good amount of touches & shots on the offensive end.

I'd be the GM of the Timberwolves.

I'd trade Sam Cassell, Wally Szczerbiak, and Michael Olowokandi to the Magic for Tracy Mcgrady. The Tmac/Kevin Garnett combo would be the best for many years to come, and the Magic get especially what they need, an great playmaker and a big man center, along with the poor man's Peja Wally Szczerbiak.

I would then trade Troy Hudson, Oliver Miller, and Gary Trent to the Sixers for Eric Snow and Greg Buckner. They would be great ego-less PGs that Minnesota needs to support Kmac (KG and Tmac). The Sixers get what they need too, an explosive scoring player in Troy Hudson to complement AI and draw the defense out to the perimeter so they can feed easy layups to Kenny Thomas, and we get to rid ourselves or Miller and Trent, who'd do great in the East.

I would then sign FAs 6-10th men from other team who's main forte is defense and nothing else.

After these, the Timberwolves would be all set for a threepeat.
