Mickael Pietrus Wants Out Of Golden State

We'll see what happens. We might be able to keep both. Its all a matter of who wants to really stay and play their role on the team. I think Jrich is the better leader you want to have on your team because he always stays positive and works hard to improve himself. He's not a crybaby and fans rarely hear anything negative from him against his coach or his teammates other than just stupid rumors. Also I think Jrich really wants to stay in Oakland to begin with and Pietrus is merely trying to get noticed. I don't know how loyal Pietrus is to the team, so ultimately I'd much rather have Jrich unless he starts being a whining b**** like "I"verson or asks for the max contract like Jamison even when he knows he's not a dominant player. You should only get the max if you can get your team to the playoffs almost by yourself, something K.G., Shaq, T.D., and maybe Jermaine O'Neil are capable of doing with the way they all play defense, rebound, and score. But Pietrus (along with Claxton, Robinson, Dampier) do create those defensive stops which are so important for extending leads or coming from behind. But Jrich is the most explosive scorer in the entire team because of his strong finishes and ability to create. He's also getting pretty clutch with some buzzer beaters and some important rebounds. Sure his 3 point shot is suspect, but he's been able to get really deadly with the midrange pull up jumper and driving in the lane and finishing. The biggest knock on him is his free throw shooting and his lack of aggressiveness on man to man defense. He's a lot better now fighting through screens. He's above average on team defense, it's just the warriors have crappy team defense in general. What can I say, Jrich averages at least a steal per game so he can't be that bad. It's just that he's so slow moving laterally with those feet of his. He needs to start shufflin' like its the end of the world.

 

Damn, imagine if we could combine Jrich and Pietrus to make a super-SG.. great defense and offense.

 

Damnit, Mickeal, couldn't you have said this earlier in the season. 8-1 since the comments.

 

He wasn't getting any playing time to be able to be prove himself as an impact player on this team to make such comments. That'd be like Eschemeyer whining about the team when he hasn't even appeared in one game all season.

 

I'm glad he made those comments, because they seemed to spark the team to play the unselfish team ball and good defense that led to our winning streak. It just took a little something for them to understand what they were doing wrong and how to correct themselves... funny that it came from Pietrus, not a veteran like Cliffy or AJ.

Pietrus has got so much more upside since he can play defense and is athletic enough to create his own shot. If only Jrich and Pietrus were one player, it'd be so awesome.
