Kobe-best-player-believe It

after he basically TORE up tmac on the offensive side in crunchtime, and shut him down on the defensive side, i mean literally SHUT HIM DOWN...blocked him, stripped him silly, and basically made tmac scared to shoot (tmac supposedly better then kobe?) Kobe proved hes still the best guard in the league, NO DOUBT, NO QUESTIONS ASKED, NO EXCUSES, TMAC CHOKED UNDER PRESSURE WITH THE BEST ALL AROUND PLAYER GUARDING HIM

kobe just couldnt miss, 24 in the 4th quarter, another STAT BOOK FOR KOBE (most in a quarter by a laker) next to the great jerry west and elgin baylor...i mean come on, hes already in 20 stat books next to jordan and the greats, this guy is something special.

Moved to the Lakers forum. C'mon people, think about where you're posting stuff, we have team forums for a reason.

T-Mac still ended up with 37 points despite missing 5 FTs. Kobe finished with 38. Was he guarding T-Mac the whole night?

Winning at home against the Magic in OT by 3 points is hardly anything to brag about.

He guarded T-Mac from the 2nd half on, Tracy was tearing us up in the 1st half. It really is sad that we had to go to OT and only beat this team by 3, but the 4th quarter was real exciting.. well if you're a Laker fan it sure was.

It was exciting! Remember, the Lakers are still adjusting their offense and getting used to it. If you're no fan of this team, you may not feel it, it's up to you, but for us Lakers fans winning by 3 and needing an OT against the Magic is no shame because we know we're still adjusting. As a result, the Magic were getting around easy most of the game but the Lakers still proved in the end that they could win when they should, and they may have just found out a new one: the team's offense doesn't go through Shaq anymore, it's through Kobe's!

Whether you are adjusting or not, you are still the Lakers and they are still the Orlando Magic. I understand you being happy, a win is a win. I just didn't see the need to start a thread about how great Kobe was because he led the Lakers to a victory over the ALL POWERFULL Magic.

EDIT -- Stop cursing Shapecity everyone always talks about tmac being better then kobe, and kobe is overrated, this and that, if tmac owned kobe today, there would be threads all over the place about it, its simple, kobe SHUT down tmac, no excuses, it had nothing to do with anyone else but KOBE shutting down TMAC...which proves enough to me considering 75% of the people on this board believe tmac is the best player in the league.

come on, this was obviously a versus match between tmac a kobe, what else can i say?

kobe was 50% today, he had no right arm, NO RIGHT ARM, yet still sunk all his shots...ridiculous

^ No matter what team it is, adjusting is still adjusting. You can be Sacramento Kings but if you're adjusting, well you are gonna suck for a certain period of time... maybe short maybe long. The Magic sure suck this year but they already know they are no playoff-bound and they play like they've got nothing to lose. Playing against a team like this is actually the most dangerous because again they've got nothing to lose. And their morale may have been up coming into the game esp. TMac since he just scored 62 pts and 40 in his previous two games. Orlando is still playing this season IMO.

LMAO, man, I bet if we ran a poll of just out top most respected members here at JBB that T-Mac would be lucky to get a single vote. Kobe may get a few, but not many.

    Lighten up.

LOL come on man he shut him down in most of the third, all the 4th and OT...i mean are you blind to the stats? did u not see him block tmac, strip tmac, basically shiver tmac in his shoes to shoot over such a defender...where is your credibility towards such astatement? tmac runs that team, he should easily be able to take 40 shots if he wants to..why not take 40 shots, maybe cause he was well defended by a all first team defensive player. SIMPLE AS THAT...if you dont believe me....www.nba.com has a stat sheet quarter by quarter on it, you could look it up

They had to play most of the season without Chris Webber, they seemed to do just fine. Bobby Jackson has missed some major time, they seemed to do just fine. No matter who goes down for the Kings, they still play like champions.

I'm not trying to knock the Lakers, but without their "big 4" healthy, they don't stand a chance. The great teams know how to move on when a player/s goes down.

Kobe is not even close to being the best player. The best player in the league is Kevin Garnett. I'm a Laker fan, but I'm not going to make a ridiculously bias statement about Kobe being the best. He had a great game tonight and outplayed T-Mac down the stretch, but let's not be overzealous and make a claim Kobe is the best. I know you're excited about the game, and right now Kobe is the hero for Laker fans, but he has a lot to prove before he can ever be considered the best.

Man, u should've watched the game...Stevenson was killing GP and Howard was destroying Malone....I'm dead serious too...give the Magic some credit...
