Francis didn't do the right thing on that elbow, but Amare was showing emotion by screaming, and I guess Steve was just trying to show his as well. And it's not like there was a need for Amare to scream, especially IN Houston.
If yelling at the crowd when you do a dunk deserves a cheap shot to the throat then a guy like K-Mart would likely never be able to play basketball again.
Well it's a good thing that Steve didn't do it to K-Mart or else he'll be in the hospital by now. Stupid move by Francis. He should go play chess if he doesn't like the shouting.

You really think 70 year old Mark Jackson could run the point playing consistant minutes for several games? He would need a wheelchair by the end of the first or 2nd game.
I dont see a fine/suspension coming Amare's way, if it does Francis better get one too, he instigated it..everyone yells at the crowd when an emphatic dunk like that happens, he was showing emotions, plenty of players do it...Amare, KG, Kmart, and Allen Iverson, Francis gave a cheap shot, and Amare didnt return anything, that was being a man.
Francis is kind of a knucklehead. Nothing wrong with Amare showing his emotion after a sweet dunk and a nice run by his team. Francis was frustrated because he was having a piss-poor game, and he used Amare's yelling as a pretext to vent. Amare didn't deserve a technical. The right thing for the league to do is fine Francis. A suspension probably is not warranted.

Steve shouldn't have done that to Amare.He was just showing some emotion.That's not taunting or anything.
Francis was mad that the Suns were coming back and that Amare was slamming dunks home all over Stevie's best friend Yao. So Francis pulled a cheapshot. It's all good cuz it just motivated Amare more in the end!
What Stoudamire did was not wrong. He simply showed emotion in a basketball game after making a huge play. Everyone shows emotion when they play, I know I do. What Francis did was cheap and was uncalled for. Francis should have retaliated on the other end by making a great play rather than a cheap shot to Amare. Im shocked he didnt get the crap kicked out of him by Amare. Francis must have been stupid thinking he could take on Amare.
