after another loss, this time vs. memphis the sixers are 3 games behind the 8th seed with only 14 games left
    can they make the playoffs?
i honestly don't believe they can. what do u guys think?

while the sixers are watching the ford-iverson soap-opera, all the other teams fighting for a playoffseed are winning
cavs play best ball of season, knicks and heat rely on their strars, even boston and toronto managed to win lately

who is able to lead philly to promiseland???
it isn't ai's season at all, so i think he can't, thomas plays great but is he a leader? snow, mckie are vets but can't carry a team at all, the rest of the team is too young or too banged up...

the hope dies last, but i really dont have a lot of it left!

btw: does someone know if the sixers have a 1st round draft picks next season or did they traded it away?

I dont know. I doubt it. Either they will be a 1/2 a game back or they will be tied for the 8th seed. But not make the playoff's due to their lossing season series with Boston 3-1.

If they keep playing like the have at home, then possibly. But they need some help from the other teams like Boston and Cleveland.

I want them to make the playoffs and I think we have a chance, but Id rather see them go to the lottery and get young players.

No way. With Iverson out, this team is finished. I know they've played well without him in the lineup surprisingly how that sounds, but can Philadelphia do that on a consistent basis? No way. Good luck next year. And a very interesting offseason too. [IMG]

After tonight's loss, things aren't looking too good. Good to see Willie come back though and contribute.

Yeh we played pretty good you can tell how much an affect Theo had on us in the paint though.Green played pretty good he had this tight tip dunk, that should have been the momentum switcher but I dont know what happened.I rember now no one wanted to guard Darius Miles he went right by Salmons for an easy dunk.

New York, ATL, Orlando and DC are HUGE games. MUST wins for us if we plan on makign a run. That means Boston will have to only win like 1 game or so.

Willie is pretty much day-to-day. He did play against Portland though and had a terrific game. Hopefully, he's feeling much better.

Really? they listed him as day to day, dont that mean that he's out atleast a game then he'll be back if he's better? Oh well atleast he's back and Philly can make a run to the play offs.

D2D basically means he'll see how he feels and when the next game comes, if hes feel up to it he'll play.

Thanks for the comments on the sig. [IMG] I just made it a few minutes ago. I used my own pictures from when I met them. [IMG]

Boston AND Cleveland both lost last night. Do you think we can maybe pull it out?

If Cleveland and Boston go on a losing-streak and Philly starts playing some team ball and wins the last 4 games, we will get that 8th seed easily. It's just 4 games, and if Sixers want to see postseason they will win those games with determination. Luckily the last 4 opponents are East teams. Washington and Orlando can be two easy wins if Sixers get hot on both ends of the court. Playing Indiana and New Jersey will be two tough challenges but we are capable of winning. (I don't know if we can beat Indy, but we have a chance against Jersey for sure.)

I think we're capable of being Indy and NJ. I'm not so sure about Detroit though.

Why not? We are 2-1 against them this season. I know they have made a huge addition (Sheed), but still I am confident our Sixers can beat them. I've put last years playoffs in the past and gained much more confidence. Besides, look who has stepped up big time this year. Willie Green, John Salmons, Aaron McKie, and of course the biggest improvement SAMUEL DALEMBERT. Right now, I think our line-up is looking pretty decent being lead by Kenny Thomas.
