That was a good game. Worth staying up till 1:oo Am to watch it. Shaq really did a great job on defense against Yao. He actually stayed on his feet which caused Yao to play horribly. The Rockets had the game won at one point but the Lakers pulled through with the W. Congradulations.

BTW Jeff Van Gundy was ready to swing on somebody. Who was it?

Crucial win for the Lakers, and the guys in purple and gold answered the challenge last night. In my opinion though the game was very sloppy. Turnovers all over the place, fouls being called left and right and it forced the game to be played at a slow pace, and bad field goal percentage. But through all this disatrous style of basketball, the Lakers found a way to get the win, and moved into a tie with the Sacramento Kings for first place in the Pacific Division and possibly home court advantage throughout. The guy we must give credit to is Shaquille O'Neal. He didn't have his usual, typical kind of dominance last night, but he sure did contain Yao Ming all night. Frustrated him, took him out of his shot, and made him feel uncomfortable for 48 minutes of play. And who liked his statement after the game when he pointed out there's only one dominant center in this league, and in order to be dominant, you have to witness what he's been through. Excellent quote. Maybe the critics can disappear for a while. Thanks to the Dallas Mavericks, we're in an excellent position to take over sole possession of the first seed in the West, and who would've thought we'd actually get there with this Hollywood type of season? Shaq out with toe and calf injuries, Kobe missing many games because of his shoulder, Malone missing more than 30 games because of his knee, Payton complaining of his role on the team. Now that we've won 10 straight, and so close to our goal, this makes it 10 times as sweet. GO LAKERS!!!
