Man this is going to be a close ROY!!But wasn't there something about Melo not wanting to enter a game or somethin?I was reading that and it said MJ called him about it,they said that it will probaly hurt his chances in the ROY run.
I think that this could come down to if Melo or Bron makes teh playoffs. I think if one does it and the other doesn't, I would think that the one who makes the playoffs will win the ROY award. I think that might be the only way to do it because their stats are so close. But, I think you should also take into account the schedule difficulty, but, that would murder LeBron. His team is below .500 and in the race for the 8th spot in the East, whereas, the Nuggets are 2 games above .500 and in the race for 8th and would be 4th in the East with their current record. So, I guess strength of schedule wouldn't be fair cause LeBron was screwed, but, really, they're gonna have to figure out some way to do this. I'm thinking the only fair thing would be co-ROYs, but, you never know. I'm thinking that that has a very good chance at happening though.
After 'Melo didn't want to enter the Pistons game last week, I wouldn't vote for him for ROY. That just showed a lot of immaturity, and Lebron's never done anything like that. Besides, I hate ties. I don't want them both to win it, even though it's really close.

Scottie Pippen refused to go in a playoff game one year. I mean so that situation can happen to the best of players. He realized what he did was wrong right after the game. This was probably the 1st time Melo ever had his shot selection questioned, so he didnt know how to react. And what does Lebron never acting like that have to do with anything. I doubt very seriously anybody in Lebronville is calling him out for his shot selection during a game. Yet he takes as many questionable shots as anyone else. So until he is put in that situation we dont know how he would react.
Melo not goin into the game wasn't really immaturity, it was more frustration....He was bein badgered by his team at the wrong time...granted some of his choices were bad but he wants to win...it shows a winner not immaturity....Melo is a player who can come in and make a difference and he has...proving a lot of critics wrong. Melo has done what nobody expected him to do which was compete at the top level with the likes of Kobe, Lebron, Artest, and many other big names in the league. I think this award will come down to which team makes the playoffs just like Memo2k4 said and it'd be smarter to do a Co-ROY because both of their teams have been brought out of the basement basically...

I don't think you can take it away for one incident that happened. If you do that, that's basically robbing him completely. It would be a load of crap if he doesn't win it because of that. I think he should win or lose based on the season as a whole, and by judging him on that one incident would just be crap. So, I really don't think that thing should hurt him as much as it could.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting KingCarmelo:</div><div class="quote_post">Why didn't Melo wanna play agianst the Pistons?</div> http://www.denverpost.com/Stories/0,1413,3...2031902,00.html his teammates were questioning his shot selections. he got mad and decided not to play anymore that game. he put a towel on his head and refused his coaches two pleas to go back in the game.
I mean it shows he wants to win....I would get mad too if i'm a leader on my team and bein questioned about what I'm doin....but it's a surprise too becuz i've never seen carmelo act like that...he never did that at Syracuse but I guess the world is full of surprises...
