If you have the conception he is immature and cocky, then why do those statements surprise and upset you? He has not given himself the title of "King," the media and Nike have created and endorsed the nickname for him. LeBron is the leader of the Cavs, sure he was overzealous in the beginning of the season by trying to lead this team without paying his dues, but the attitude of the veteran players has changed. He has led by example and has gained the respect and trust of his teammates.

He was perhaps the best player that ever played the game and in my mind he is. However just because he wore #23 doesn't make it his number. He was a great player however there were a few players that did more for the game than Michael. If you don't want anyone wearing the #23 then you sure as hell better think that no one should wear the jersey numbers of Bird, Magic, Kareem, Wilt, Russell, etc. The #23 is a number its not Jordan. If someone wants to wear #23 than let them. Lebron like Kobe isn't trying to be the next MJ. He wants to make a name for himself on his own. Can you fault him for this? I think everyone wants to make a name for themselves and not follow in someone's shadow. What sickens me is people that compare these guys to NBA legends.
