The Sacramento KINGS come on, why does everyone consistenly year after year hand them the title after a good regular season? THEY HAVENT WON JACK YET, they havent accomplished anything, no player on that team has accomplished anything, they are too damn overrated for my taste.. second to that comes the ORLANDO MAGIC, they were never good to begin with, tmac plays no D, has no heart, and is a loser. 19 wins is a disgrace, he should be sent back to the New MINOR league the NBA wants to create the guy laughs during losses. the pistons are overrated, they cant score, plus, they are bait for the lakers in the finals (BOOK IT, I SAID THE LAKERS IN THE FINALS)
The Boston Celtics - I don't know what it is, but everyone I talk to thinks the Celtics are some amazing team. Could be lack of knowledge, could be because of their past.
The Dallas Mavericks or the Kings. Either one. They were both supposed to do good. Albeit Sac has done well lately, they have choked down the stretch this year. They've let a 6 game lead on the Lakers dwindle down to the point where the Lakers are now tied for the lead. The Mavs, everyone thought that they'd be great with all that extra offensive firepower, where has it landed them, in a struggle for 5th or 6th seed.

No solid evidence. BUt i will agree. Kings are over rated. But they are still the elite. I love how two of the worst defensive teams are two of the most overrated.
Mavs- they are all offense ,no D.Thats why they will never win anything.Another overated team I think is the Pacers they have a good record every year but they never get any where in the playoffs.
Allas Mavericks, Allas cause they got no D (yeah its played out but its still true) and the Kings for sure, although they didn't have Webber for most of the year and I think their trying to "get used" to having him back in the lineup.
I think the raptors are a pretty overrated team if you ask me, why? because they've only won 30 games this season with their "awesome" roster GG made(good thing he's gone now). VC, Donyell, and CB4 are carrying the team sure jalen can help but he is a little too inconsistent.

This year, they've consistently maintained their high level of play throughout the season, helped by Artest's maturity. This is their coming-out year, and Arest's and Jermaine O'Neal's chance to prove that they're mature and have elevated their status from being best of the east to best in the league overall.

Los Angeles Lakers - call me a hater if you want to. Big whoop they have Shaq, Kobe, Malone and Payton, thats all you people can say is they are going to win it all. Malone was injured half the season (nobody was even menitong him then). Kobe has legal issues (yes I do think he is innocent but thats not the point) Shaq gets mad when he dosent get the ball. Rick Fox, well im not even going to get on him. The only half decent player that is on that team is Gary Payton. Talk about your brown nosing bandwagon jumpers.
Lakers overrated? If you call being the best team in the NBA overrated than I guess you are right. Let their record show how overrated they are. As for my team? Sacremento. I would have said Dallas but I don't think anyone thinks much of them anymore.

Lakers have the best record in the West and 2nd best in the NBA, DESPITE injuries to their top players. calling GP the "only half decent player" on a team that includes Kobe and Shaq, pretty much qualifies you as a hater.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Krazygreen:</div><div class="quote_post">Correction: The LAKERS are #1 =)</div> i didn't mean #1 in the west, but the number 1 aka best team in the nba pacers finished 8th 2 seasons ago, they played nets, a good game even though miller's buzzer beater was after the clock they counted it, nearly upset the nets
Yes Lakers are overrated in some sense, they were hyped up in the off-season and many stupid fans were predicting 72-10 or better. Many experts were saying they were going to win at least 65 games, breeze through the western conference but that didn't happen. You can point to injuries all you like but many of the other top teams suffered the same fate. However with all that said they are still one of the best team in the NBA that has suddenly caught fire at the right time. They do this every year though, so no one should be shocked by their winning streak.
Wow, I guess being the best team in the NBA still allows others to call you overrated. Regardless of injuries or what their ranking is, the basic fact it is that they were projected to be #1 in the league by everyone. Anything less than that would be underachieving. If they are not 1st in the league by seasons end then they can be allowed to be called overrated. They missed Karl Malone for half a season, Kobe has legal/injury issues that are still pending as we speak. Gary Payton was injured a few games, Shaq was injured for about 10 games and Rick Fox was gone as well. Add in the public bickering, complaing and you have the Jerry Springer show all rolled in one. I don't think another team faced this much adversity this year. I could be overstating to some minds but thats my opinion.

I mean the kings played almost the entire season without their best player(C Webb). Their all-star Center brad Miller has missed time, their heart & soul off the bench B Jack has missed time & is still out. The Timberwolves played almost 2/3 of the season without what was surpose to be their starting center(Kandiman). Without their best perimeter shooter(Wallly). And their best player or scorer off the bench( Hudson) The Spurs had to play without their MVP candiate for a few weeks. Their starting point guard missed sometime early in the season. Their energy player Manu has missed time this season. So all the championchip contenders have been struck by serious injury problems. Its part of the NBA season the Lakers dont get any bonus points for going threw the same situation every other team has gone thru. And all the off court problems were caused 100% by the Lakers themselves. So they mos def dont get any bonus points for that. I really dont see anything extra special that the Lakers have done this season.
