Lakers 3 in a row?... It's pretty hard to get overrated there.

lol lakers overrated? they have the best record in the west, on top of the kings and wolves who have been playing their best basketball ....while our lakes have been depleted almost half the season, we must be really good if our "overrated" season and team has accomplished this much with so little throughout the season...

arhh... Crazygreen ( orignal starter of this thread ) you go off at orlando because one player has no D.... then go off at a whole team because they have awesome D... whats up with that. the pistons are a good team... they may not be a team of champions, but they are a champion team....

difference between tmac and the pistons is that TMAC could most probably single handedly score more points then the whole detroit team.

You must of clearly forgot about a certainly trade that brought Rasheed Wallace to Detroit right before the deadline. Struggling for points seems no longer an issue.

ehh it still does acctually, 79 points against the pacers? thats struggling for points, if you cant score over 90, your definately struggling.

If you watched the game you would know It was a slow pace game which is how Rick Carisle has always liked things. He runs down the shot clock more often than not on every play, he did in basically both seasons he was in Detroit. Thats not the only reason though...Both the Pistons and Pacers are great defensive teams and when defensive teams meet up there is rarely high scoring games.

against a fast break team, or a team with too much offensive firepower (lakers, minnesota, dallas) they have no chance. They have awesome Defense, but their offense lacks. They might be able to defensively stop the lakers or wolves, but they will NEVER score more points then them.

Great defense allows you to be not so prefect on the offensive end. Now the Pistons have 3 good scorers instead of just two....Thats is a huge plus any time you add a guy who can give you numbers of around 17 and 6 and therefore add to the offense you already have.

I'm not saying Pistons would beat Lakers, Spurs, Kings but they should certainly give them problems.

i said they could defensively stop them, sure, but they STILL wont outscore them. You make it seem like the LAKERS and WOLVES dont play D. They up the ante in the playoffs, and step it up a notch defensively. Even if the Lakers played INVISIBLE DEFENSE and were defensively raped by the pistons, the lakers would STILL outscore them. You think any team that comes out of the west will not play D? if anything, in the west, they will have to play BETTER DEFENSE then in the low scoring east.

The issue wasn't could Pistons beat one of the west elite but "do they really struggle with scoring" and that has certainly not been the case since Wallace was traded to the Pistons.

The Lakers have got to be the most overrated team this season. I expected them to do better....but then again they never are that much fun during the regular season.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PG2:</div><div class="quote_post">I think the raptors are a pretty overrated team if you ask me, why? because they've only won 30 games this season with their "awesome" roster GG made(good thing he's gone now). VC, Donyell, and CB4 are carrying the team sure jalen can help but he is a little too inconsistent.</div>
how the heck can you say raps are overrated? If i ask anyone in my vicinity about raps, their first reaction is - man they suck, how can you like them? overrated in my opinion means that most people think good of one team but it is not. As to kings, i actually think they are really good as a team, but yeah, they dont have the ability to win the playoffs, thats their own fault but they are good.

overrated is the Magic. I know thye are the worst team in the NBA riht now but when we think Magic, we think T-mac so it doesnt seem that bad. An underrated team is the heat though. I know this is off topic, but hey they dont get enough credit for how theyve played this year.

There are amny over-rated teams in the league but it all depends on what your opinion of an over-rated team is imo the most over-rated team in the league has to be the new jersey nets they have had 2 succesful season that have lead then to the nba finals but they cant be considered one of the elite franchises in the nba history. For example last year when they where playing the celtics in the semi finals richard jeffereson said in an interview that the celtics carried them selfs with a swagger because of there past history while the nets also have a swagger but there past history is not all that great in all this is just my opinion they are a good team but not an elite team yet
