Boxscore Recap Wally was great coming off the bench scoring 20 points. Darrick played well tonight for the wolves contributing 11 points off the bench including 4 assists. KG had 22 points but only got 6 rebounds. Spree struggled scoring only 2 points on 1-6 field goal in 22 minutes.Nobody played more than 30+ minutes except for KG. The wolves passed the ball well getting 29 assists. The Wizards played badly shooting a horrible 33% from the field. They also had 17 turnovers. Congratulations to the Wolves for winning this game.
This was the most well balanced win for the wolves in a long time. Kandiman had a double -double(12pts& 12rebs). Sam had a well balanced game 13pts 7ast 5rbs(while shooting the ball well from the flied something he hast been doing as of late) But Derrick Martins willingness to be aggressive, is big. He isnt passing on open shots like some of the other point guards(Goldwire, etc) that the wolves have brought in this season to replace troy hudson. When KG passes out that Double team he is use to having either troy or Sam willing to step up & take that shot. But with those other point guards, they usually didnt take it so it had a tendency to mess up the flow of the offense. But that didnt happen to night. Martin needs to continue to be aggressive but smart at the same time. Sprewell struggled tonight But when you have Freddy & Wally combinig for 27pts off the bench it kind of makes up for those points sprewell gives you on the wing. Good win for the Wolves. But the Grizz game on sunday is going to be big. The Wolves have a tendency of lacking energy on Sunday games. They can not have a lack luster performance. The West is still theirs to win. Hopefully Spree & Sam wont go out club hoping on Sat night lol.
This is a right time for us to play these kind of teams. It gives us a confidence boost and it also boosts our record. If we go into the playoffs with this kind of confidence, we will go far.
Good to see our key players not playing too many minutes. We need them fresh for the last games. Every game from now on in is mad important. With some luck the Wolves could end up first in the west. A fantastic accomplishment, should that happen.
