I could be mistaken, but wasn't there a trade rumor floating around prior to that trade deadline that involved Ray Allen for Steve Francis? If I were Van Gundy or someone high in Houston's office I would defintely be exploring this trade. Perhaps work out a three team deal, move Francis to Seattle for Ray Allen, than move Cuttino Mobley for a more unselfish and perhaps veteran point guard. Just an idea, it would defintely work in Houston's favor...

I think he wants The Rockets revolved around him instead of Yao.Thats probaly why he will be traded for a point guard like Darrel Armstrong or somebody like that.

ive heard some stuff about francis at the 2, nash (steve nash that is) at the point.. cus he wants to test the free agent market.. mobley off the bench.. but let steve mature into the system.. at the 2 or point i really dont care. id like to see steve in a rockets jersey next year, but mobley.. eh. i think a true power forward is in need. elton brand, lamar odom, guys that were over looked last season because of there teams struggles. they are ones who can double up on shaq, and still have the speed and ability to come back on karl malone. same with duncan and garnett, but i dont think theyll come to houston anytime soon. i will emphasize the point that FRANCIS IS THE HEART OF THE ROCKETS. not yao, not mobley, its steve. when theres 5 seconds left and were down by 2, i wouldnt want the ball in cuttinos or yaos hands.

I totally agree with idea X3. The one question is, who?

I came up with some suggestions tell me what you people think:

    Eric Snow

    Chauncey Billups(maybe)

    Baron Davis(big maybe)

Thats all i can think of right now.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Phreeze:</div><div class="quote_post">Many players are looking like they might get traded in the offseason, and I'd have to say Francis looks like he might be one of them. His style of basketball doesn't fit in with Van Gundy's system, and that really shows. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if we saw him get traded for a more experienced veteran and a pick. Maybe Sam Cassell if things don't work out after this season? I really don't know who it might be for but I could definitely see Steve getting traded.</div>
Why would the T-Wolves want Steve Francis? Its evident to everyone who knows basketball that the rockets would be a better team if Yao was the man there, but steve refuses. There is no way that Minny would want someone coming over who is considered a ball hog, who dosen't distribute, and dosen't play a team system. I mean cassel had a rep of being a hog, but he finished in the top 5 in the league when it came to assists. There is no way they would want a player like Steve Francis.

I'm talking more about the Rockets perspective on getting a PG, I don't care if the Wolves want Steve Francis. That's just the kind of guard I think the Rockets need, and I don't care how they'd get him but I think he would be perfect. I don't care if it's via free agency or even a three team deal, I think he would fit nicely there. As for Steve Francis I don't know where he'd fit best, although I do like the sound of him playing with Garnett obviously people like you feel otherwise.
