I know I've seen some threads related to games, but do we have anything (or more to the point, anyone) for regular threads each game? Personally, I find them to be a big discussion generator when done well. THere seems to be alot of graphic design nuts among the members here, so if we don't already have someone doing them, maybe someone could step up and do them for each game with a dedicated design look(for consistancy)? I'd be more than willing to help with layout advice, etc. Let me know. Thanks.
You'll find game threads on a lot of the more popular team forums, Hagrid. Often it just takes someone to step up and start doing them in a particular forum, and then it catches on. That is what I did in Seattle's forum, Rudeezy in the Warriors forum, King James in the Cavs forum etc. The hardest part is getting started, but once you do more often then not it will catch on with members.
The Celtics forum hasn't really gotten back to consistancy since the downtime. Usually on JBB you'll see game threads look like this. I personally like those better than the ones at FH. But if you want to get together with BC, someone else, or just do it on your own, I won't mind seeing game topics like the ones at FH.
Thanks for the responses. That linked game thread is certainly thorough. Not really thinking of something quite to that extent. Was thinking more of the essential stuff like key matchups, tip-off time, key injuries, etc. IMO, alot of the extra background story stuff is superflous to those posters who keep up-to-date with thier team. However, can see the reasoning behind including that stuff for the occasional fan.

So I cut down to just basic details (time, location, team records, TV channel etc), a depth chart of avilable rosters, each team's injury list and a few random notes like last time the teams met, who's hot etc.

I usually do them, but I haven't started since we got back up. I'll be able to do them more next week
