<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TMac_OwNz:</div><div class="quote_post">Actually , I try to ignore stats and just watch him play , obviously he needs to work on rotating and stuff like that. Yes I've seen that...how about teaching him in practices and let him try it out in games instead of seating on the bench?</div> Don't you think that's what Orlando has tried? I'm sure he gets plenty of court time in practice and that's where you learn these things. Than Orlando places him in the game and he doesn't come through, that's why he heads back to the bench. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> I know , Blount has worked really hard to be like this during this season , I don't know what KJX3 has against him .</div> Mark Blount is solid, there's no doubt about that. However he's only averaging what? 10 points and 7 rebounds, or something to that effect. Hunter got a career high in minutes and got 28 and 21 dropped on him. That's an extra 18 points and 14 rebounds higher than his average. It's not me insulting Mark Blount, it's mean pointing out that Mark Blount dropped 3X his point and rebounding average on Hunter. Less of an insult to Blount, more of an insult to Hunter.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting King James X3:</div><div class="quote_post"> Don't you think that's what Orlando has tried? </div> I think Orlando hasn't the right coach to teach him that kind of stuff. I also believe that Orlando hasn't the right coach to teach young guys or defense at all. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> It's not me insulting Mark Blount, it's mean pointing out that Mark Blount dropped 3X his point and rebounding average on Hunter. And I think that was the reason why Blount put up those numbers. Hunter is still young and I believe in the right team and the right coach he could become a solid player, not more and not less.
If he gets a good coach, then he would be a good player. It is the teams defense. Look at my other post earlier in this thread.

The two best bets are for him to practice whilst the Olympics are taking place and in the Summer League, he looks like he might become like Howard of the Mavericks if he works hard enough and improves.
