young mistake by a young player, boozer must step out to challenge rose in that situation.

we should've fouled somebody, get the opportunity to stay ahead if he misses one or both, or if he makes both we'll still be tied and we'll have time before the end of the game to run a last ditch effort to win, or if that fails it'll still be ot

im not giving up yet, we get memphis 2morrow with gasol and wells both questionable, and williams suspended. very winnable especially with j-mac back now. then we have 4 games left against miami twice, milwaukee and new york, these are all teams we have proven we can beat and beat handily. come on, you all know you love the cavs 2 much to give up on em now.

I said this on the Raptors board and I will do the same here

I would forget about the playoffs and try and get a better draft pick. That might be a little too late at this stage but there are some very talented kids coming out this year.

The Cavs are in a tough situation here, not good enough record to get in the playoffs but also not a poor enough record to get a good pick. On the other hand you might as well stick with what you got.

Although the Cavs need serious work on the defensive end, the small forward spot is very weak and they don't have that extra slasher to make them a complete team.

James, Boozer and big Z is a nice base but unless they learn to play defense and have an extra option at SF the future won't be as bright as you think.

    I don't want James at the 2, he is a 3.

    I want a shooter.

I have been saying that all season.

kj, i agree we would not beat the grizz at full strength, but with no jason williams, no pau gasol, and no bonzi wells?? we better beat that team!! granted they are deep and are still formidable without those 3, we are definitely a better team than the memphis team that will actually be on the floor 2morrow night. but everyone is right, our defense is awful and must be addressed quickly.

Mabey a assistant coaching move will be needed. A defensive specialist.

    RECAP

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">CLEVELAND (AP) -- Jeff McInnis is nursing two new injuries: a sprained left ankle and some severely damaged NBA playoff hopes.

Jalen Rose made a 3-pointer in the final second, and the Toronto Raptors ended a seven-game losing streak -- and perhaps Cleveland's postseason chances -- with an 87-86 victory over the Cavaliers on Tuesday night.

``We worked so hard,'' said McInnis, who returned to the lineup after missing six straight games with a bruised right shoulder. ``Jalen got an open look, and it just hurts, because we worked so hard the whole game.''

Rose's 3-pointer with six-tenths of a second left capped a gorgeous final possession that kept Toronto's playoff pulse beating for at least another game.

A loss would have eliminated the Raptors from the playoffs.

``They stepped it up,'' Toronto coach Kevin O'Neill said. ``This was a good win.'' </div>

Devin Harris, Jameer Nelson, and Ben Gordan are likely candidates to come out.(Well, Nelson is a Sr and has no choice....)

Is Cleveland looking at drafting a PG?

    Wait a minute.......Rose hit a shot?

And it was a game winner?

Rose? As in Jalen Rose? As in 35% FG percentage earlier on in the season, can't play a lick of defense, waste of space, Jalen Rose?

The Cavaliers are that nice an organisation. that they allow anybody of all talent levels to beat us. Mark Pope would have hit the match winner given the oppotunity against us! [IMG]

Yes, it was Jalen, he's good because he actually injured his hand in the offseason before he started the season with the Bulls again. Now that he's partially repaired his hand with a few screws, he's decent again. It was quick for the Bulls to turn back on Jalen for one bad 1/4 season. He admitted his hand was hurting him every time he played when he was with the Bulls, but now that his hand is better, his shooting percentage is better now

You really are underrating the Grizzles depth

Even without those 3 guys the Grizzles have a better team

    Watson
    Miller
    Posey
    Swift
    Big Jake

along with guys like Shane Battier off the bench, their are sick in all areas.

It's all about draft picks now anyway. As long as we play solid ball so we have some confidense from a solidish season heading into the break. We are now picking 9th as Phili hasve passed us with the Raps just 1 game behind.

I dont especially want to get into a debate over it, as I agree the grizzlies are a VERY good basketball team that is very deep, but I stand behind my statement 100% that a cavs team that has mcinnis, lebron, booz, and z on the floor should beat memphis with the lineup I mentioned. granted the cavaliers are not exactly playing well, but those guys being out gives us a final glimmer of hope.

As far as the draft goes, we need to take a guard unless a guy like the big russian pavel podelskine slips to our spot. where we stand currently, we have z, booz, battie, and diop all capable of playing night in and night out (i believe diop will make huge improvements this summer), we have lebron and mcinnis obviously at guard, and we will be adding a small forward in free agency. whoever it is we draft, it needs to be an experienced guy, either overseas or in college, that is ready to come in and contribute by midseason. while we are a young team still, i dont think we are in a position to draft a guy that is gonna take 3-4 years to make an impact (a la diop). we have been looking forward to the off season for sometime now, and unless a miracle occurs these last 2 weeks, it will come a couple weeks sooner than expected.

Yes he's a very good option, I think Cleveland should look into it.
