Since convo seems to be slow in here right now, I hope no one minds me taking a thread off the topic of the C's? (well sort of) Just did my signature. I like simplicity and this one works for me, style-wise. I could have gone more in the way that everyone else sets thiers up with a super technical, dozen layer, mutiple effect, contemporary, poster feel to it. However, you'll find that I like to be unique and different when it comes to stuff like this that speaks directly to my personality and tastes. Overall, I like it. I think I need to wash the text though again and sharpen it up, but what do C's fans here think? Thanks.
I already posted there. If threads like this are a violation, then I'll gladly remove it. However: 1. I wanted feedback from Celtics Fans 2. I'm trying to generate traffic and convo in this forum, which seems to be extremely slow right now, with only a few posters making contributions. Again, I'll comply with the desires of the admins, but at present, I don't consider this something that detracts from the forum, but rather is an attempt to revive it. Thanks.
I have no problem with this, if you are looking for Celtic views. I like the centerpiece - looks quite snazzy and fits the background nicely. However this needs two things IMO - a border, and maybe an outline and/or drop shadow on the text, just so it stands out a bit more. On the whole I like the simplicity of it though, and I always enjoy graphic work that has creativity and originality. Good work
Text: Yeah, I came to that conclusion myself when I came back to look at it this morning. I'm sure I'm not alone in the approach of taking time off of doing graphic work, walk away, and come back at another time. I find it helps me be more objective and critical of design flaws, etc. Border: Did you mean a border around the entire sig? I can see where the parquet pattern just dropping off can be distracting and/or sloppy, now that you've pointed it out. Thanks for your comments. The center piece: GD Thunderskull and Celtic Logo originally started out as a design concept for a Celtics tatoo that I wanted done.
I like it. The Greatful Dead skull and tie-dye look is nice. Nice text too bad there haven't been banners since I was born
Geez BC, you are a youngin'! <font color="Red"><font size="1">(On FH, you wouldn't even be eligible to become a mod for a couple more weeks!)</font></font> Good month for a B-day though. Mines the week before!

I hope you read and watch alot of ESPN Classic to see what real Celtics Basketball was about, because thus far in your life, you've seen mostly the ugly: 1. Len Bias Overdosing on Coke the day after the draft. 2. Reggie Lewis Dying (and the league screwing us on the cap relief) 3. The unglorious finale of Bird, hobbled by bone spurs and back problems. 4. Never Nervous Pervis 5. The Albatross 6. Rick Pitino 7. Jim O'Brien (or are they considered that same person? ) Ok, I'm depressed now.
It's a tight sig man. Lots of colors without really being a pain in the eyes. The text is great so make sure it stands out. Enlighten me though, what is the Greatful Dead skull's relevance to the Celtics?

I got to see Lenny many times and he was other than Jordan and 'Nique my favorite player to watch play the game. When Len died it effected me very badly, put me in a funk forever. It's still one of,if not the, most shocking basketball related event of my life.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Enlighten me though, what is the Greatful Dead skull's relevance to the Celtics?</div> Well, in this case, it's relevant in the following ways: 1. C's had Bill Walton, whom we all know was a huge Dead-Head back in the day (and likely still is). 2. I was a fan myself, so it's got personal relevance also. I still check out what's going on with "The Others", but it's just not the same since Jerry died. I've always loved the Thunderskull design and the C's logo just fits so nice. It probably got lost in the thread, but originally, that center design was created for a tatoo I was planning to get and still may. This just gave me the opportunity to give it a test run to see how much I really like it before I take the step to make it permanent.

But as for events I've seen in my life, there have been very few good as a Celtic fan outside of the comeback from 20 down in the fourth on the Nets
My 2 cents would be to fade the parquet floor a little so the Skull stands out more. Also the first 'L' in the word ALL looks like an 'I' Splash some Purple and Gold on there, too! Points for originality.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Splash some Purple and Gold on there, too! </div> Will do,.......as soon as pigs fly over the frozen tundra of Hell! (Laker hate runs deep in me. LOL) I noticed the "L" thing last night and double checked it and it is an L, so I'm not sure what to do, but I need to wash the font through again anyways to sharpen it and possibly add a border to it, so maybe that'll fix it. The parquet does need to be faded slightly, but I didn't realize that until I logged in this morning and remembered that the resolution on my laptop isn't nearly what it is on my desktop. Sometimes it's the little things that get ya'. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Points for originality.</div> Thanks!
