Chris Mihm knew right away he made a mistake by refusing to reenter the March 20 game against the Spurs. Last night, when asked about the incident, he reluctantly spoke about it for the first time.

With Boston trailing by 20 points with 3 minutes 11 seconds remaining, Mihm was supposed to be one of the three reserves who replaced starters Chucky Atkins, Paul Pierce, and Mark Blount. Instead, seldom-used Michael Stewart went into the game. According to Mihm, it was simply one of those instances when his emotions and frustrations got the better of him.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"It happened," said Mihm. "It was regrettable that it came to that situation. But we've dealt with it within the team and within the organization. So it's water under the bridge and not a big deal. It's completely out of my character and it will not happen again."

Immediately after the incident, Mihm apologized to his teammates. And he paid a team fine.</div>

That's exactly the Chris Mihm that we've come to know I Boston too. He's a good kid that made a mistake and he's admitting it to the world, which takes guts. I like that.

Boston.com is one of my favorite haunts. I contribute to thier Celtics Chat on an almost daily basis. Great group of posters over there too. There's a few trolls, but what places these days doesn't hav a few running around.

I really like Mihm and I'm surprised he did something like this. From what I've heard from Cav fans the other player we got from them would be more apt to do somehthing like this. I really liked him in the draft the year we took Moiso, he was great at Texas.
