<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Wizards forward Kwame Brown believes this is the season when the light has started to flicker. And when it becomes a megawatt lamp, Brown wants to be in Washington. "I definitely want it to happen here," Brown said. "Nobody wants to be traded. I just want us to get it together, bring this city some energy. If I can make up for lost time when we weren't winning and start winning some games in Washington that would be great." </div> Full Article ========== http://www.washtimes.com/sports/20040406-114112-8270r.htm
Kwame just teases u....it's still hard to tell if this guy is for real or a bust...but if I were the Wizards, I would hold onto him unless I was blown away by an offer...but i would try and hold off on the extension talk...
Kwame should stay, and more importantly I think he will. He's shown improvement every season, boosted his statistics this season to 11 points and 7.5 rebounds. He's shown flashes all season long, I remember a 30 point 10+ rebound game just a few weeks ago against Sacramento where he just dominated. He has potential, and for a 22 year old kid I defintely don't think it's time to give up on him. Besides, Washington has him signed for another season and Kwame seems interested in staying so they doesn't seem to be in a real rush on resigning him. Keep him around another season, if he continues to improve than resign him. If he doesn't improve next season than decide what to do from there, take a risk and resign him, or just let him go. It's that simple...

Maybe this is how he plays with a lot more effort, being young he'll have time to improve and become a franchise player, he has to potential to do so. The Wizards don't have much to work with but are lucky to have the likes of Arenas, Dixon and Blake, and I guess sometimes, Stackhouse.
He has stepped up this year, when he was given the ball he produced, when the game was on the line and he was given the ball, he produced. He dominated Jermaine Oneal twice, and Chris Webber once. He set his career high twice, the offense should run through him, when it goes through Arenas, we lose. When Kwame isnt in the game, we lose. When Kwame gets touches and produces, whe win. It was shown this year, I watched over 80% of the Wizards games, and we got results when he was given shots. He is going to be a star in this league if Eddie Jordan would realize that his Princeton offense does not work and that Kwame should get more touches
Kwame has improved every season. In this season, he has shown signs of what he can do with a 30 points and 19 rebounds against the Kings. He is just turned 22 last month. He is a young player with alot of potential. The Wizards should not give up on him when is still improving and is still very young. If the Wizards give him the ball more, he could produce more.He could become a elite player in the league one day in the futur.
Does Kwame need Out? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Wallace said he didn't want to paint a bad picture about the organization, especially since "I just got there and was oohing and ahhing about just being in the league. But that kid will be better in another spot where he can get his feet wet. But he was in a situation where there was no room for error, and it's still like that." The Wizards could sign Brown to an extension this summer. However, according to team sources, that might be a long shot. STILL ON THE MEND ? Brown traveled with the Wizards but did not dress, missing his third consecutive game with a sore left foot. There is a chance Brown might be done for the season, which ends tomorrow. </div>
this guy should definitly stay in washington people forget that this kid was drafted straight out of high school you cant label him a bust yet it took kobe four years to become a prime time player for la and you dont want to trade him like the wiz did howard, c-webb, and ben wallace and then regret it later he can only improve from here on as he gains nba experence
Kwame is really something Extraordinary he can ball, the kid has boosted his stats trememdously this year and i can gaurantee the same for the next year as well. Washington will regret this big time if they give up on him now, CWebb and Big Ben already haunt washington they dont need another big man to join the club.
