This story is absolutely true, it is unbelievable, but I swear it happened just a few hours ago....

I went to a George Bush Campaign rally today at Space Coast Stadium. The President himself made an appearance and a speech. About halfway through his speech, I could hear the sound of a small aircraft approaching. I still couldnt see it. But, I noticed the rooftop snipers were totally focused on the direction the noise was coming from. Finally, out in the distance to the east, I could see a small Cesna approaching. Then I heard the roar of a jet. I still couldnt see it. I noticed the snipers hadnt taken thier binocs off the plane as it approached. Then I saw an f-16 as it roared over the stadium in the direction of the Cesna. The F16 went right at the smaller plane and I thought they were gonna collide. The Cesna just kept coming. The Jet flipped around and got on the Cesnas tail. The Cesna flew over the stadium and started to turn downward. I saw the snipers throw their binocs to the ground and retrieve their rifles. The F16 came in and got between the Cesna and the stadium. He pushed the plane back by flying close to him. Eventually, the Cesna yeilded to the F-16 and the jet drove him away from the stadium. During all this, Bush just keep speaking, he never wavered once. I still couldnt believe what I had seen, so I figured there was an explanation for it. When I got home, I flipped on Fox News, and sure as hell, there was a story about it. they said they downed the pilot of the Cesna in Jacksonville and have taken him into custody. I still can't believe it. I think that Cesna came within seconds of getting blasted out of the sky.

My brother is going to be working security for Bush's next visit to Wisconsin. He's coming to Richland Center, apparently. My brother works for the Reedsburg police department and they're being called in because the RC guys are shorthanded.

Hopefully his day is less exciting than yours was, Beef!

I would guess the people who say smart things on this forum will vote bush, and the ones who say dumb things will vote kerry

Some things that I've observed in this cycle...

    1. There's honest and fair debate, and then there's name-calling. Some pundits and their loyal viewers think that the concepts are interchangeable.

    2. Saying smart things and being smart are not inter-reliant.

    3. If this race stays as tight as it has been, the election may be decided 5-4.

    4. People who value resolve over reason generally do not agree with people who value reason over resolve. Hey fella's, how about some balance between the two?

    5. The American people may finally be starting to understand that the Electoral College was originally designed to keep the average man (read moron) from deciding who would be President.

    6. Virtually everything that Bush, Cheney, Kerry, or Edwards says is spun so hard (left and right) that if you want to know what they actually said you have to do some serious research and find transcripts.

    7. Pie fight humor is alive and well in the 21st Century.

BTW, politics, etc. is alive and well (it's just napping) over at the barber shop (a sister site to this one). Give it a try and voice your "reason(s)" why someone should vote Bush or Kerry (or Nader)

The Faux news channel? Of course, no one else would dare cover such an important breach of national security.

You know the VP will claim Osama paid for the flight or some nonsense.

Seriously, What kind of knucklehead would attempt this? You have got to know that the Secret service & military primed and ready for hijinx like this. Especially, that close to Cape Canaveral.

BA's electoral advice. Don't vote Republican or Democrat.

The Utah GOP & democrats at a national level have almost soured me on politics.

They didnt even have to scramble the blackhawks because they were so close to Patrick Air Force base....I bet the F-16 wasnt even in the air when they 1st saw the Cesna approaching, but he got there in a hurry....he was hauling ass accross the sky, so much so, that when he passed the Cesna, he overshot him by a huge margin, but after he turned, he was back on his tail very quickly....

Beef, that's an awesome story. I saw Cheney on Friday, but of course nothing like that happened. [IMG] That's absolutely incredible.

As far as the politics, take it over to barber-shop-talk.com. The forums over there need some serious upgrading which I will get to eventually, but for now it should work fine.

And not a single bite on the Barber Shop site?... When you outgrow your father's political opinion, form your own, and grow some of your own, come on over... This of course excludes those of you who have shown the nads in the past... [IMG]

NFLfan04 and BF1 consider yourselves challenged to produce.

Describe your position, put in the effort, or I (and most thinking persons) will consider it void of any thought.

Oops. Meant to say "will not" consider it void of any thought.
