Hey I think everyone agrees we need a consistant point guard. Now theres the draft. But what about Steve Francis? Doesnt his contract end? I mean that would be tight. But if you any suggetions for a good point guard. Lay it on me.
Steve Francis and Tracy McGrady...Sounds good....Looks good on paper. But I think they would do OK with each other. I think they both can be a little immature at times, and I believe they still have to mature just a little more in order for them to play well with each other.
There's rumors on another Magic board about AI or Franchise for Hill and our #1 pick. I'm not sure about that.
I wouldn't mind AI as the PG (AT ALL!) , Hill is gone after all , he is bad luck we don't need him lol no but seriously..we are loaded at the SF with Bogans and Garrity and Stevenson(who plays PG aswell) , how about Hill , Howard for AI? I mean did you guys see AI passing the ball to T-Mac and VC in the ASG?? lol that would be exclusive..I like AI more than Franchise for the Magic , but I woudln't mind him here either .
WHy in the world would anyone trade for Hill? Maybe if it was certain he was gonna retire it would make sense. Similar to how T.Brandon was traded last summer. But Hill is gonna try to make a comeback. Don't believe everything you hear in a message forum!
I don't believe it, I was just passing the rumor on, since their was mention of stevie franchise. I'm not sure if AI or franchise would be a good fit in Orlando because they would want to be the superstar and Tmac is ours. They would get less shots and less points.
I don't have anything about Hill but theres a lot of doubts and a lot of people think he will either break his ankle again or obviously he won't play like the old Hill..We might end up trading him before deadline next season , but we need to see him play.. EDIT: I'm sure AI or Franchise would be happy with at least 20ppg...and it is possible to be a good team with other players averaging 20ppg or more..(e.g.Wolves , Lakers) I think Franchise would be happy just creating and just playing with T-Mac...AI that could be a different story .. He probably wants his own team with a 2nd man that can step up , but T-Mac and AI are good friends..
Here's my 2 cents. The Magic don't need a PG as bad as they need a great presence downlow. Now if we were to get a PG we need to aim at these guys coming from college IMO. Jammer Nelson or Ben Gorodon would be great cantidates.
I say the Magic get their hands on Marquis Daniels or draft a point gaurd like Jameer Nelson instead of blowing out all of their cap on AI or Stevey Franchise. They also need a presence downlow like someone mentioned so it wouldnt be to smart to sign AI or Franchise to a hefty contract.
I love Marquis Daniels.. Id sign him in a heartbeat.. I think Crawford might resign with the Bulls anyway... But I really wouldnt mind having either one.. Both can be better than Lue as a starter..

Now if T-Mac is still gettin 40 points in a game. I don't know.

Don't forget Carlos Arroyo from the Jazz. He was mentored be John Stockton, loves Orlando(since he's from there) and Tmac is his favorite player. Sounds pretty good to me.

I think they need a pg like Eric Snow who plays D,and is a good assist man for T-Mac he is not going to take a lot of shots but he can hit big shots. But I think the Magic should go after a younger player if their looking toward the future. Also I dont think AI would fit good with T-Mac....to many shots!!!!
I say you go for Hinrich if possible, seeing as the playoffs are gone, you better hope regardless of whether you're getting a center in the draft or not that you end up getting a PG but trading with teams desperate for mediocre players, send them plenty for a decent PG. You'd have to keep trading to get the likes of Jameer Nelson and Ben Gordon.
Jannero Pargo, that guys a free agent the Magic should sign him and trade lue in a package with someone else for a presence downlow. For the presence downlow you guys are saying they can just draft Emeka Okafor well they could but he reminds me of a young Tyson Chandler with his back problems.
Lue feels pain of losing: Point guard would come off the bench <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">ORLANDO -- It was almost 45 minutes after loss No. 10 of this hideous 12-game skid and there was Orlando Magic point guard Tyronn Lue sitting at his locker with his head in his hands. This deep into a 19-60 season, you'd think Lue would almost be immune to the losing by now. But he was taking this particular loss, not to mention this lost season, hard. No one has felt the pain of the Magic's hard times more than Lue, the point guard brought in last summer to run the offense and be a nuisance on the defensive end. The assignment was especially meaningful to Lue because it was his first chance in six NBA seasons to become a starter and assume control of a team. And as the team has flatly fallen on its face, Lue has felt every bump and bruise. "It's been a really hard, frustrating season," Lue said. "When you are the point guard of a team, you take it a little harder. It's been one of those seasons where nothing has gone right." </div> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Despite the Magic's floundering finish, Lue has played well of late. He's averaging 20.1 points over his past seven games, including a career-best 32-point performance against Indiana on March 26. But Lue is likely in his final days as the Magic's starting point guard, something that brings him great relief, he says. "Being an NBA starter once in my NBA career and trying it was something I always wanted to do," said Lue, who will be in the lineup tonight when the Magic host the Detroit Pistons. "But I just think I'm better coming off the bench and bringing a team a spark that way." </div>
