What do you guys think of him entering the draft. I think he could use another year or two. Granted I would take the money to but from the smart stand point I think he should wait. Where do you guys think he would go?

I personally think he is ready.Watching him in the tourney he was great. He is a pretty good offensive player and his defense aint bad either.I say he should make the jump.He may be a star one day. [IMG]

I think he is ready from what I've seen and heard. I just hope the Jazz will get him, then we could slide AK back to SF, in a few years that would be the best 3-4 combo in the league.

He averages the same stats as Carmelo in his freshman year... So yeah, I think he's ready...

The difference was Melo was able to lead the team to a championship. But I have to agree that he's ready. Although he's undersized for the NBA for his position, he showed willingness to bang down low with the big guys. He's an above average rebounder and has good range for a muscled big man.

I dunno. I saw this in the paper earlier and my initial thoughts were that he isn't ready. In fact, those are still my thoughts. He's very undersized for his position. He doesn't have the greatest range either. Plus, there were a lot of games, for example, the Iowa game, where, when someone around his size was on him, he couldn't do anything. Currently, I don't think he is big enough or strong enough for the NBA. But, someone will draft him due to the fact that he had a good freshman year and he is still very young. But, I don't think he's ready.

    Humphries hires agent and coach

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Former University of Minnesota freshman forward Kris Humphries signed Beverly Hills, Calif.,-based agent Dan Fegan to represent him on Friday, officially ending his days as a Gopher.</div>

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Among Fegan's clients are Timberwolves rookie Ndudi Ebi, Golden State guard Jason Richardson and Milwaukee forward Joe Smith.

Humphries, a 6-foot-9, 236-pound power forward, led the Big Ten Conference in scoring (21.7 points a game) and rebounding (10.1) as a freshman. He is projected to be a mid-first-round pick in the June 24 draft.

Humphries will leave the Twin Cities next week and work out in Houston, under the tutelage of former NBA player and head coach John Lucas. The goal is to improve his game off the dribble.

"This is a good place for him to go where he can continue his development,'' William Humphries said. "He played a lot at center last year, and this should help him transition back to handling the ball like a small forward. This is the best available spot for him to go.''</div>

He's likely to be going to Utah, they're in need of a PF and he should be available with the 14th pick. He's a good rebounder, and can score well. He's undersized however at 6"8' and 240 pounds playing PF. But he'll bulk up in the NBA. I noticed on Nbadraft.net his NBA comparison is Tom Guggliotta, if Utah resign him and draft Kris Humphries he could really learn from Googs.

[IMG] What is this? His team was not in either tournament, NIT or NCAA. What are you talking about?

So yes, about 20 and 10.

I think that the person was talking about the Big Ten Tournement. Obviously he was not in the NIT and NCAA.

Humphries put up monster numbers, yes, but NBA scouts realize that they're different than Melo's because a) he played for a sucky team(sorry Gophers) and [IMG] he played against weak competition most of the season, or at least weaker than the foes Melo faced throughout the NCAA tournament like Texas, Kansas, etc.

Still, I think Hump can make an impact in the NBA his first season, something like 12-6 or 12-7, and would be a great fit on a Jazz team that just recently lost a power forward of about the same size. Playing for a coach like Sloan, who probably has countless plays for a 20-10 capable power forward, is the perfect situation.

And I've heard he's a little rough on defense, so playing between shot blockers Kirilenko and Ostertag would be great.

Kris Humphries is going to be an even better NBA player!

Humphries has obviously showed that he can dominate in college basketball. People have talked about whether he is ready or not, big enough for his position, good enough defender. But I think that everyone has missed the greatest part about this phenomenal athlete. He has the heart and determination to get it done. He is also has shown these qualities consistantly.

People always say that it was easy for Kris to get 20-10 on average because he played on a bad team. I think that it showns how strong he is other than physically. He took the pressures of making big shots and taking the blame for losses. Also, I watched him get double and triple teamed. People also say that he is selfish if his numbers were that good and their team did that bad. In all honesty I think that Minnesota used Kris ineffectively. He went into college being mostly a SF and a PF. He ended up playing mostly PF and C.

I think Humphries can come in and be a strong guy on the block, in his early NBA career. He can do the dirty stuff, like Carlos Boozer. Both guys are undersized, but get down there and rebound, get put backs, and the occasional step out jumper. He is a pretty good free throw shooter. That will help him alot. Being in the low post for 35 minutes a night will put you on the free throw line quite alot in a game.
