First Jerome James is not an FA because he's not opting out anymore, he's one of the most foul prone, laziest players in the league, read the article in I think on to next season about Jerome James. If we can get a trade like Donyell Marshall and something for Jerome James and Ronald Murray then good.

Also we do have draft picks you know, everyone is saying we take a PG, and it is likely that drafted PG will be starting. We don't have the money to get Nash, but you never know what happens, not likely though.

We can also pick up other free agents, their are other players, I am leaning towards Mark Blount or Etan Thomas if possible. We can also look into signing Richie Frahm r Rasual Butler, they're good defenders and good shooters, and can do more than camp out on the baseline waiting for the three unlike Mo-Pete.
Micheal Curry is retiring thankfully, the players on the team don't even like him.

Starters:
C - Blount or Etan
PF - Bosh
SF - Vince
SG - Rose
PG - Draft Pick PG (Gordon, Harris etc)

Bench:
Ronald Murray (IF possible, yea pushing it)
Jon Barry (Maybe) or Rodney White (Ahh, might be pushing again)
Alvin Williams
Richie Frahm
Jerome Moiso
Jerome James
2nd round draft Pick (Chris Duhon?, another big?, SF?)

IL:
Steven Hunter (Sign for little, he can become better)
Other 2nd round pick from CLE

The Raptors got Roger Mason Jr. to run the point didnt you guys see him in the game where he played 40minutes he got 18points and like 8 assists and like 5 rebounds i think thats pretty damn good for a second year second round draft pick.

Nash would be a great asset and an addition to your team. Not only will he be making shots for others but himself as well, if Mo' Pete' plays badly he'll make up for it. Good to see everyone wants to keep Marshall and the Williams', for Carter's sake you could bring back Oakley seeing as he's so comfortable around him and he's a fan favorite.

No thanks, we don't need a Center that'll show us how much range he has or that he can hit three's, we need someone to bang down low, shoot 48% or over, block shots, box out, rebound, be a decent force in the paint.

If we get a new coach, he will hopefully realize the many benefits that Mason Jr. and Moiso can bring to the team and give them proper minutes. Moiso could be a solid back-up for Bosh and Mason Jr. could seriously be a great 6th man at pg or sg. Trade Lamond...enough said. Keep Marshall??? Only if we cannot get a deal to trade him for a quality big man like Etan Thomas, Haywood, or Blount. Vince needs to stay. Rose should stay...he's been such a great addition to both the team and the city. Alvin...i don't think so anymore. He should be on the bench in my opinion (but obviously get some playing time and not rot like Lamond). Arch??...cya later. Thank goodness Michael Curry is leaving. Keep Mo unless something decent comes up. What about Palacio and Strick? I think Strick is getting too old...but i say keep him for another season. He's proved to have a little juice left in his system after all. Palacio...if he can EVEN MODERATELY improve his shot in the summer, sign him cause he doesn't cost too much (at least i don't think so).

Ideally, I wouldn't want much to change. But realistically I think a lot has to be done in order for us to obtain quality players. Especially with all the animosities between players, coaches, and upper management, it would take almost a miracle to convince talented players to come play for the Raptors. So a major trade involving either Carter, Marshall, Williams, or maybe even all of the above, is almost inevitable.

With that said, I'm finding it too hard to come up with a good realistic rotation so here's my unimaginative ideal rotation:

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Starting Line-up:

C - Mark Blount (very skilled big man but might be too hard to pick up)
PF - Chris Bosh
SF - Vince Carter
SG - Jalen Rose
PG - Draft pick (Gordon, Nelson, Harris.... not Telfair though, he needs more experience)

2nd Unit:

C - Jerome Moiso (with KO gone, he doesn't have to waste his talent anymore. But still has a lot of work to be done)
PF - Donyell Marshall
SF - Morris Peterson / Lamond Murray (with KO gone, hopefully he can produce like he used to)
SG - Alvin Williams
PG - Milt Palacio (needs to work on his jump shot and finishing around the bucket)

We would also need another big man (someone decent and affordable), and another PG with experience (I wouldn't mind re-signing Rod Strickland).
------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd also like to add that I think Jerome James would not be a wise choice to sign. Yes he's a big man but I don't see any real talent to get all excited about. I also think he won't sign with us unless we at least match or exceed the price of his current contract (which I don't know how exactly much it is but I'm pretty sure it's more than he's worth). If we can't get Mark Blount, then we should either try to get Etan Thomas or make a trade for a guy like Brendan Haywood.

If we can get a trade for Jerome James, it wouldn't be bad because he has a 5 million something contract and it expires after next season.

If we go after 1 player this offseason i think it should be Mark Blount!!!!!!!! he has tons of skille- great size(7ft), young, rebound, has good shot, passes, and doesn't have a monster contract. He should be our 1# guy to get.

I think we should take a chance on Jamal Crawford. hes got a great shot, plays pg, and could help the team. i think we should protect Vince, Rose, and Bosh. i would really like to keep Marshall though. IF WE TRADE VINCE CARTER THERE IS NO POINT OF EVEN WATCH NBA. he makes up this team and we shouldn't even think of trading him. he has player great this season.

I also think we should go after some of this middle guys http://nbadraft.net/egger004.asp
we could use them, and they could help deepen our team. i agree that mason jr. should get more playing time, mosio should have a better chance. I think we need to hire a former player as our Gm, cause usually they now the ins and outs of the league, and can see talenet well. i also think o'neil should be fired to.

Starting
C- Mark Blount (have to get him)
PF- Bosh
SF- Vince Carter(need to keep!!!!!!!!)
SG- Jalen Rose
PG- Jamal Crawford/ draft(gordan would be nice!!)
Bench
Donyell Marshall( great 6th man)
Alvin williams
Mo-pete (sign him, has been playin ok)
free agents( someone else we could go after)
Mason jr.
Mosio
Palacio
2nd round draft./Steven Hunter(good size has talent sign small contract)

I wish we could get someone from the raps to see this site!! anyone know how to get them to read this?

I don't think Crawford is such a good idea, he's a cocky ballhog with skills, plus much like Dajuan Wagner, he can't really play PG, same goes for Steve Francis. I know it'll take a lot but as mentioned earlier, Nash is a good guy to get, so would Hinrich.

ya, but Crawford has great talent, and maybe our new coach can teach him to share just like jason williams, and now how he is a great pg. BUT WHAT I REALLY WANT is MARK BLOUNT on the raps. he would be awesome here, and he would really fit in wit the team. MARK BLOUNT is the WAY TO GO. read my post above^.

is there anyway to get someone from the raps to read this stuff?????

well I really hope Bosh can get more touches down the stretch, and Vince can just be a tad bit more commited on Defense. But The Raps need Offense, they got the potential to average around 99 ppg or so, they just neeed to utilize their team and most of all, need depth. Basically the fate of the raptors will lie in the new GM's hands. I just hope we get lucky to recieve top 5 in the draft, but i doubt it. Anyways here is my Predictions:

[/U]starting
C: Jerome James(i wouldn't mind him at C)
PF: Chris Bosh
SF: Jaeln Rose (not working at PG)
SG: Vince Carter
PG: Draft ( Ben Gordon)

Bench
- Roger mason Jr. (would make a great sixth man f given the chance)
- Donyell Marshall (Mr.Consistent, not so much now though)
- Alvin Williams
- Micheal Curry (would make a great coach in the future)
- Jerome Moiso
- free agent (Kareem Rush, if he is a free agent next year)
- free agent (A 7-footer would be nice)

On Our Starting Lineup Jalen Rose Would Be The SG Not Vince And Vince Would Be The SF Not Jalen, I think Out Roster Will Be As Follows

PG: 1st Round Draft Pick
SG: Jalen Rose
SF: Vince Carter
PF: Chris Bosh
C: Mark Blount or Etan Thomas

Bench:
PG: Rod Strickland/Try And Get The Streetballa Back Hes Doing Great In Miami
SG: Roger Mason Jr. (Shows Potential)
SF: Mo-Pete? Or Free Agent
PF: Jerome Moiso
C: Free Agent

ya, i agree with you, we will have rose at 2, vc at 3 and bosh at 4. the center stop is the most important right now. we could have been in the playoffs, maybe even the 6, 7 spot, if we just had a center. I THINK the most important player to get this offseason is MARK BLOUNT, he would be perfect. etan Thomas would also be nice. i also think we need to get a pg in free agents, even if he isn't starting material, because most likeky the draft player we draft won't be ready to start in the draft. so we need to get a pg too, but a CENTER IS MORE IMPORTANT!!! we can live without a true pg, but we can't without a traue center. THATs why we wiil be watching the playoffs, instead of in them

No Jamal Crawford, sorry I watched him too much on the Bulls to want him. Chicago wil not give up Hinrich, so not Hinrich. We can draft a PG, no need to waste money on Crawford, he's going to be asking for at least mid-level or even more.

I think I've said the Rose at 2, VC at 3, Bosh 4, (Blount or Etan) at 5 about 7 times know, with out drafted PG at the 1.

Micheal Curry is retiring after this season, and all the other players odn't fancy him too much.

I'd like Roger Mason back, but no Mo-Pete, we can find people that can shoot just as well and play good defense but haev more to their offensive game than the corner three point spot. Richie Frahm and Rasual Butler.

Rafer Alston will not come back, don't even count on it, after we betrayed him like that, even in the AND 1 tape he was saying how much he wanted to come back and we just leave him. He will re-sign with Miami or go somewhere else but not Toronto. It's sad actually, unless our GM is super convincing he's not coming. [IMG] [IMG]

Also another thing, Jerome James is said to not be opting out of his contract anymore, he's also a horrible player and can't be a starter. If we are to get him it will have to be by a trade.

If all these PG's coming in the draft are like Wade, Hinrich or T.J. Ford, I'll be extremely happy.

Yeah, maybe you do, but ya still have to understand that we would be severly mismatched if we played Jalen at the SF, he's too small and weak.
